Yeah, his actions are mostly childish, because well he is a child, but if he was made 18, sure some dialogue would have to be tweaked but they could just rub it off as him being an inexperienced adult, most shonen suffer from it anyway like you said.
We all have a different pair of eyes though and I can see where your coming from, but actions don't always excuse age. I feel like the only thing that could really save the anime from its age gap is some excuse like "Oh technically Nazuna is a teen in vampire years" which is the excuse in some vampire series example Hotel Transylvania, where Mavis is like 100 but technically a young adult (if that were the case it would make the fact that Nazuna is sexualized so much even worse but that's another can of beans). However, I don't know for sure if that's the case because they never said it, and I'm not planning on reading the manga to check. I can agree though, it does handle its themes very well, just kind of a shame the age gap had to be like that.

It just seemed toxic to me that they never actually spoke/Nazuna just got mad and didn't explain and just kissed him, but that's not what I'm mad about
I'm aware in most/all vampire stories, vampires do carry a huge age advantage over their partners. Usually those vampire stories are with two consenting adults though, both over the age of 18. There is a huge difference between a 20 y/o and a 40+ vampire dating, and a 14 y/o and a 40+ vampire dating. One pair is legal adults, the other is a child and an adult.
I understand the purpose of the show, I do think it's sweet, but it could be presented so much better if Ko was just made 18 and went to high school/college. Everything in this show just rubs me the wrong way, but that's how I see it.
