I re-watched Eva like a month ago, it was really really great. A truly passionate work and the extent to which I empathized with Shinji and Misato in particular was almost frightening. EoE is such a cathartic experience, it resonates with me with how much it emphasizes the need for human connection despite all the suffering and pain that it comes with. Oddly positive in a way.
Yeah this reply is short as hell. At least I watched a couple of anime since then, Euphonium was really good. I should probably watch Hyouka, I've been seeing it a lot on twitter.
On a random note, I saw people on /a/ a certain site hyping it up for the wrong reasons, exaggerating the sad moments and making it out to be super bleak and that got me a bit upset since people actually believed in it.
I did re-watch Spirited Away lately, I liked it a lot more than I did the first time. Totoro is still my fave Miyazaki for its quieter approach. There's a lot for me to explore in both film and literature due to my inexperience so I guess I've been focusing on those. There's a greater variety found here due to the different cultures, perspectives and the older age of these mediums. Like I know next to nothing of Armenian culture but I still found The Color of Pomegranates incredibly fascinating in both its symbolism deeply rooted in Parajanov's culture and his directing style, which feels like a moving painting. There's probably enough literature to occupy a person for a lifetime. That's not to say I'll become one of those people going,"This medium is better than that one!" My fave anime mean as much to me as anything out there and I'll probably get back to anime someday. I think I want to re-watch Evangelion since it's been like 3 years and I remember very little of it.
Agreed, the baseball episode is probably my fave comedy episode, along with that one Motto episode where they try to spend a year's time in a day. It would be difficult for me to organize a top ten episode list but I think most of them would be from Naisho and Dokkaan, so many amazing episodes it's unbelievable! Momoko is like my third favourite character in the show. More people should watch Doremi, it's like the funnest and most memorable experience I've had with anime in a long time. Hell it's still fresh in my mind, despite having finished it a couple months ago. Heard lots of people in the anitwitter crowd have been recently getting into it so that's cool.
Thanks, I really hate it when a sex scene comes up especially with characters I hate, Kanon is so annoying. But I will make an exception with Haru's route, it will be interesting to see the interaction between her and Kyousuke.
Ah, btw, I started watching Princess Tutu two days ago and I'm loving it! I don't usually watch mahou shoujo animes but this one is so well made that I couldn't resist.
YKA -- hype, that's it! :D
How are you enjoying the kuma fest?
Ah, by the way, since you sometimes read VNs, did you play a visual novel named G-sensou no Maou? I started playing it a week ago and I already like it, but I heard that there's some sexual content. In case that you played it, I would like to skip it, can I? Or is super important to the plot?
If you don't mind to tell me, what are your favorite VNs?
I like yours as well. How's that penguindum re-watch going?
Nice taste btw. You're watching Yuri Kuma Arashi too? What are your expectations about it?
Would you swallow his juice?
