Nothing personal in particular, I just dislike how he spams 99% of the time, I find it annoying.

Lol xD, when you put it like that, it's actually hilarious. I doubt he cared though, since his reply was just another generic spam ''you must be butthurt''.

another good thing about torrents is that you can re-check the files you download if its corrupt or not

the difference between private trackers and public trackers is this called upload to download ratio, meaning you have to seed/upload when you leech/download on them, this is a simple give and take rule and this ratio thing is for private trackers, this is the reason why files stay longer or files have more seeders for private trackers

public trackers like ThePirateBay does not care if you seed/upload, thats why if a torrent file is no longer popular on ThePirateBay then it does not have any seeders/upload and therefore you cannot download it anymore of if it still has little seeders left then your download speed will be slow

i still recommend you learn IRC/XDCC because its the best thing for anime downloading

torrent speed depends on the number of seeders (there should be more seeders than leechers), if you are part of private anime trackers like bakabt then download speed is almost guaranteed to be fast because there are always seeders for any anime there

but for older series that have no torrents i suggest you learn IRC/XDCC downloading there are tutorials on the internet like this one - http://haruhichan.com/wpblog/1128/how-do-i-use-xdcc/
