80s OVAs were violent and erotic. They were also short and ended before overstaying their welcome. This anime is way longer, gives no clue as to what it's about and fails at being as violent or erotic, thus it fails at all fronts.

Not just bad animation—after all, I've seen series with minimal animation that makes up for that shortcoming by other means. The aesthetic, which I touched upon in general has nothing redeemable (including the audio component), and that's a big part of a series. Otherwise, all you have left are characters and writing, and this is your standard contrived thriller with generic characters—hardly any better than the aesthetic. There's really nothing left to do with a series like this other than to mock it, which I did by going through scenes. I looked at your reviews, and I have ones making similar critiques to yours, but I can't do that every time, nor is there a need.

Daaamn, I just watched it and I'm getting a lot of hype for the last episode. I hope the anime ends up as the best of the season, so far I think it's been!

You do need to watch it bro, it's so good. And yeah, Darling being an original is what made it so fun to speculate on, that's why I'm always keeping an eye out for cool looking originals, I think Deca-Dence has a lot of potential in that regard. Also thanks man! I appreciate it, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where Tower of God goes.

Gankutsuou was great, really enjoyed it all the way through. Jin-Roh I wasn't feeling as much, I thought the plot was just kind of a lot of things happening without any understanding of the motivations of characters or what the actual purpose was.

Also yeah I'm sorry dude, I've kind of shifted directions content wise, also there haven't really been any series coming out that I felt compelled to talk about on a regular basis. That being said, Re:Zero season 2 next season might get me to be making semi-regular videos covering it, since I'm a huge fan of the first season and I'd love to contribute some stuff to the weekly discussion for that show.

Hey how it's going. i'm actually liking it. I like the fact that it combines all the music and the slice of life. Also both protagonist are nice in my opinion. are you liking it?

I'm liking it!! I'm reading the manga, so there are some important details that are skiped in the anime, but in general terms I think they are doing a good adaptation. And Are you enjoying Monster And Fullmetal Alchemist B?? those are two of my favorites!
