Just a question. Why is your Bakuman 3 review a 10 but you rated it a 7 yourself? It's pretty dam weird.

It's more authoritative. With a name like elite-sama, all pretense is dropped: it is easy to regard me as a troll, yet I make it impossible for them to regard me as a troll. The name justifies my ability to go on the offense without apologizing for it.

What is this? Artstyle using S-S-Skype? Am I dreaming? Does Hummingbird have anything to do with this? kekekeke

I'll download Skype on this laptop I'm using in Thailand as soon as I get decent internet connection again, the hotels wifi is so bad I can barely toggle between windows in MAL.

I'm enjoying SAO so far, I do feel the romance arc-part-thingie is a bit too much though. Before they became a couple every episode was really good, like 9/10 overall experience to me. Now with all the loveydovey the score reduced, but I still have a high motivation to continue watching, very easily marathoned.

Just signed up for Skype. Name is katsucats. I have no idea how to add people. You don't live in Andorra, do you?

I don't have Skype...

A lot of people didn't like the pacing in the first half, but I thought it was necessary that they made it like that to build up the suspense to the second half. The official explanation in the manga is that there is only 1 active world line, and Okabe has the power to "merge" the old world line into the new one, so that the characters are physically saved. The problem here is does it matter if they lose aspects of their personality and their past; they "die" insofar as continuity of consciousness goes. The second major problem with single world line theory, as brought up by LostSpectre in the S;G forums, is that Okabe would lose all his memories and reset every 15 years due to the D-Mail he sent to his past at the end of the series.

Anyways, like I said, I don't think these problems are wholly avoidable. Take any time travel series and you will have the exact same problems.

DBZ, for example, when Goku teleports, one presumes he is molecularly deconstructed and rearranged at some other location, a process which comprise death. But it is unproductive to think of it at this level.

I can understand if this bothers you enough that you are turned off by time travel fiction such as S;G. I felt it was distracting as well, but I also felt that the execution of the drama was enough to overcome it. It's rare to have a story so succinct: an introduction, development, and ending that ties everything together with no wasted episodes. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was another anime that achieved this.

I'm not sure what you mean. Wouldn't that change the entire story? Unless you meant running away to another world line, in which case that's what he did...
It’s time to ditch the text file.
