As the name implies, Alternative is just an alternative turn of events that could have happened. The story has always been about Takeru, and I think given what the ending was, I don't think we have any need to delve into the world of MLA ever again. After going through everything, Takeru deserves to forget about everything.
However, you're right. The Hive they destroyed at the end was a Phase 6. The Hive on Mars is Phase 9. But it should also be mentioned that the BETA doesn't really care about destroying humanity in general. They were just things created to harvest resources. The death of the Superior on earth probably just tells them that further harvesting on Earth isn't really worth the effort.
Provided that the BETA doesn't send down another Superior, it's very likely that Earth will be eventually rid of BETA altogether. Don't forget that in order for a new Superior to arrive, he will still need to arrive and plant himself into a new Hive starting at Phase 1. I think humanity is more than prepared for that kind of threat. This is all conjecture, and nothing that happens in that timeline truly matters. I still like to think that there is hope for that World though.
I'm pretty sure that tentacle raep scene was the most disgusting thing the writers could come up with. The point was, the 00-Unit wanted to push Takeru away so she showed him the most disgusting thing about herself from her memories. I didn't think calling it "stupid" was the right word. It's certainly disturbing, but isn't that the point?
And seriously, the game is so good consistently for so long, I can hardly say bad things about it for this one thing.
I don't think so. People who like things like that would prefer something more...extreme, to say least. The tentacle scene in MLA is actually pretty tame. It's obvious to me that the ero is absolutely not a main focus of this game.
