No no, don't be scared I would say that u should catch up with the anime and read the manga ahead(30-40chapters) bcz the wano arc is getting to its climax and there is gonna be an epic fight probably the most impactful in all of one piece, u Don't wanna miss the hype of this war also the art n pacing in the manga r great (My advice, it's up to u though)

Well my favourite characters are 'MONKEY D. LUFFY' and 'RORONOA ZORO'(I also love everybody though) , apart from some straw hats, it's 'EDWARD NEWGATE AKA WHITEBEARD'
