I'm waiting for Fallout 4 which is coming out this year. Looks fun especially now that there's a dog for a sidekick. I tend to to play whenever I have the time and have no anime to watch. haha.
Man, I was pleasantly surprised with Akatsuki. It was recommended to me, but I was not sure if it was hell I'm about to walk into. I was expecting the typical reverse harem show, but I was wrong. The series has more substance to it than the way it looks. I also hope the second season is announced soon. The water tribe arc would be a spectacular sight in animated form.
Haha. Likewise. I'm really loving Shokugeki. I'm glad I didn't let the foodgasm in ep 1 to deter me. I ended up reading the manga for comparison and I couldn't stop until I caught up with the latest release. lol. Looks like you're a fan of the other Nakiri. I can't get over the fact that the characters are so endearing. The plot is interesting too. I never thought I'd enjoy a cooking anime other than Cooking Master Boy. What sports show are you watching?

It seems you haven't watched Yuuki Yuuna yet. You should pick it up sometime. It's pretty decent for a Mahou Shoujo. Not Madoka level, but it has it's own charm.
Well you have seen negima, something that is very similar or just like it. Is what i am looking for. Its obvous that the author had an intentional genre shift well writing the manga.
Also i don't mind shoneny type stories and characters, i just don't want something on the same immature level as like bleach or fairy tail. I am looking for something a bit more complex and more mature. Not a series that is aimed for children. I will check out Sora No Otoshimono and Modaka box. I do like some ecchi, but it doesn't have to be extreme. Just some more adult related romance and or relations, but with a darker or more serous tone at the core of the plot. I also want something dealing with magic in some way or the other. Yes i also rather prefer a more a school like setting, so its more modern, and not something that is in ancient times like the fudal or meji's era's.
I am actually looking for a romcom/harem that centers around the idea of magic and wizards, but with a more darker and serous tone to it as well. I was thinking To lov RU, since i liked the show, but i never read the full manga.
Or maybe Madoka box, i heard this was very similar.

Something that is aimed towards a more mature audience, that doesn't have a problem with showing ecchi, and romance and or slice of life typical moments with partners. Nothing that has steriotypical shonen tropes. I am thinking Madoka box, that one looks very interesting.
Do you know if any anime series/manga that are similar to Negima, with like a class like setting that involves magic in some way or the other but with a more darker atmosphere and serous tone (and perhaps more dramatic story)
That is kind of what im looking for, though im still in the early stages of negima and i have heard from various people that it just does a complete 180 flip to almost an entirely differnet genre with a different tone. I guess i will see if that is true or not. So far i have seen a few battles in the Tokyo arc, but it still maintains that more light hearted comedy. I don't mind comedy at all but i think some times the author gets romcom and harem mixed with shonen to much to where it feels as though you never know what the author is really trying to shoot for. IN that regards, some of the comedy moments or the serous moments mixed with comedy kind of don't blend together and feel out of place at times.
hello. Ok i know this is like 4 years ago or something, when you finished the first Negima series. But i saw your comment and yes the ending does heavily deviate from the manga. I have not read quite that far into it, but its quickly becoming one of the most enjoyable manga's and i noticed its just now starting to change its tone and amosphere into something more serous, rather then slice of life and romcom.
So i was just curious, did you ever get around to reading Negima yet, now that its finished. Also have you ever watched the Negima!? series. I was going to watch that next, cause i heard its a shaft take on the show with a much more darker and serous tone which intrigues me despite the fact that it doesn't follow the manga.
Damn, that's like... how many years now? Haha. You should play the PSP game for Toradora if you haven't. There's an English translation out there and you can choose to go for Ami's route which I'm also going to do sometime down in life.
