tatami galaxy is often said to be similar to monogatari series for it's unique animation and tons of monologues

ping pong, tatami galaxy and cyberpunk edgerunners for anime, they all have less than 12 episodes each and I love how within such a small amount of episodes they are able to tell such an amazing story

for manga its 20th century boys, since monster is one of your favorites then you would most likely also enjoy reading it

I though you were someone I knew haha, but I was surprised to see a fellow monogatari fan, so far I've only finished reading hitagi crab and was actually surprised at how much detail was actually on that arc compared to the 2 episodes that was adapted. It felt like reading a whole 'nother series, I'll definitely enjoy reading it.

It has few choice that leads to bad Ending, but a straight forward VN.

People are waiting for illya's route for more than a decade, hopefully they do.

Visual Novels are dependent, you have 2 Types - Kinetic (No choice, just one major route) and Choice Based (Common Route --> Character Route --> Sometimes True Route)
There are Visual Novels that are of like 2 hours and those were you need to spend 100+ hours.
You also have "All-Age" and "Eroge" (Basically 18+ Scenes)

VNDB (https://vndb.org/) is the MAL of Visual Novels.

Best place to download VN is either Nyaa or Ryuugames.
If you want to buy it legally, VNDB has links.
I would avoid Steam though, they usually have censored versions. JAST and Mangagamers have uncensored versions.

Fate/Stay Night is one of the best VNs out there. They announced a remake last week.
Play Fata Morgana, it has one of the best stories in fiction.

Clannad VN is amazing, especially the After Stories part.
The Anime adaption is well done.

Do you read a lot of VN?

When i started rating like a decade back, started with the 5 star system and continued :)
With the number of anime i have watched, just thought of sticking to my 5 star system

I love Shinobu Time and Hitagi End. Probably Shinobu Time is my favorite. And my favorite character is Shinobu. For quote, i will go with "What is this? Had ye not gone out to fech those bespectacled, braided rations?", it is in Kizumonogatari page 257 if you have the pysical copy. Its the scene where


Its such a good line i love it. But Nisio isin writes too much. Like 30+ volumes are hard to keep track off.

Also maxdefolsch is a crazy guy. You can check Gaen-senpai's file of trivia, its a great sheet containing exessive ammounts of information. Also you should check out Atogatari if you havent. Its a fun adition and has nothing to do with the story but its content ig?

You can check the current status of the LN from this link. There are no offical translation for Shinobumonogatari and after as far as i know and its quite tiring to read. Good luck.
