Sneaker Magazine To Carry Part of Haruhi Novel Volume 10 [Update Apr 26]

According to The Sneaker magazine April 2010 issue, part of Suzumiya Haruhi light novel volume 10 "The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya" will be published in the next issue to be released on April 30th. The last volume "The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya" was published on April 1st, 2007 and the volume 10 was first announced to be released in June 2007. However, the release has been repetitively postponed.

According to The Sneaker Magazine May issue, Tanigawa finished 80% of the next volume The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya. He and the editors plan to release it within this year.

The February issue of Kadokawa's The Sneaker magazine is announcing on Monday that the two volumes of Nagaru Tanigawa's Suzumiya Haruhi no Kyōgaku (The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya) light novel will ship simultaneously on May 25, 2011.

I'll probably stop buying at this volume anyway, since the franchise really peaked at vanishment/disappearance.

Well, it's about time.

Though, Haruhi is easily dying as a novel series. I'm pretty sure the author just doesn't care anymore.

Oh well, I still say we won't see the end of the novel series till 2015 or so. To me, this just feels like it's supposed to be a 12 book series at the least.

Fu** yes!! After three years, it's about time. Though I just finished volume 9 a few months back(a week before baka-tsuki lost it...), the wait has seemed so long! How could anyone end a novel that way? Volume 9 was completely unfinished... now we finally get it! I'm completely ecstatic!!!!

Indeed great news. We have been waiting not for the 10th volume, but to any news about it at all since for ever. I hope the volume is published soon after that. And for the translation I believe in the Haruhists out there, there'll be someone who will do it -I hope-.

It's seriously about time. Hopefully releases of the rest of the volume will follow consistently. And hopefully someone other than B-T will provide us with a good translation.
