Light Novel 'Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore dake ga Osowarenai' Gets TV Anime

Frontier Works announced a television anime adaptation of Rokuro Uraji's Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore dake ga Osowarenai light novel on Thursday. The anime is scheduled to air on AT-X.

Rokuro began posting the supernatural horror novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2013. Frontier Works began publishing the title under its Nox Novels label in February 2016, featuring illustrations by Saburou. The third volume went on sale in March 2017.

Chihiro Matsuda began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Ragchew in March 2022, and the second volume went on sale in January 2023.

Synopsis
Yuusuke is an office worker with a dislike for people, preferring to do his job alone and in silence. When the company he works for suddenly goes bankrupt, he loses his job, and with that, all his motivation disappears, and he becomes a complete shut-in. On one of the rare days he decides to leave his apartment after a week-long video game binge, a mysterious man attacks him and bites his arm. Though Yuusuke manages to escape back to his room, he comes down with a fever and becomes bedridden for several days.

When Yuusuke wakes up, recovered, he goes to resume his normal life, but he soon finds that in the short time he was asleep the world has completely changed. Zombies have emerged in every corner of the world simultaneously, and the few human survivors are now in hiding. However... "Why am I the only one the zombies don't attack?"

@EcchiGodMamster I have read the VNs, there are 18+ scenes on them, at the start of them, you will not see the MC at a positive life, but it feels realistic, if you consider he is not a goodie two shoes.
So my guess is they will keep these scenes.

Honestly, it is interesting to see this getting an adaptation, something I though it would never get one.

Are you for real? Even more so, in situations of extreme stress, people will look more for the confort of one another, and ways to relieve stress, the original source is not ecchi in that way, but more like the MC is a grown man with manly desires like any man, thus if the situation arises, he will just take advantage of it.

Anyone interested in watching this, expect a MC that wont be the typical good MC, and will instead take actions that for some more honest souls, can be seen as very wrong.

we WILL be watching this. hope there are the 2 versions (still don't think they'll put the full blown sex scenes in this but W nonetheless)

This is another title that needed the Animefesta treatment over being a TV anime (its going to be heavily censored), At least it isn't another nukige like the last announcement.

It sounds pretty fun with the stuff that Zombies don't attack him. He should be the zombie villain trying to destroy humanity to the end since he doesn't like people anyways.

@Nachtwandler_21 yup the visual novel was released one year prior to the LN. Don't know if it's 4 part found volume 1-2 on VNDB.

The synopsis sounds way too similar to the first episode of ZOM100: Bucket List of the Dead except for the "Why am I the only one the zombies don't attack" part.
