Internal Data of Katanagatari Leaked [Update Jan 7]

On January 5th, a large amount of the production material of Katanagatari was leaked to the file sharing. The data includes the character designs, the draft storyboards up to episode 8, and the scenarios up to episode 10.

Leaked OP animation (Youtube)

Judging from the ID of the FTP, the source of the leak is probably one of the staff of White Fox, Koresawa Hideyuki's directory.

White Fox admitted that their FTP server was hacked and concealed data was stolen. They apologized to the companies involved and the fans. They will investigate the case with Tokyo Metropolitan Police.

Still, from outside anime community, simply in context of the art and concept visuals, stunning. Although, I was taken aback by the Lil' Orphan Annie eyes, I realized later that it was an indicator of characters' essential innocence, or rather stunted development- take your pick.

While being short it doesn't give time to becomes bored, it's also bittersweet to see it finish.

yeah, certainly not any kind of publicity stunt... just unfortunate, and will probably result in heads rolling and damages lawsuits against the employee(s) who leaked it.

still kinda disappointed though since I missed it and kinda wanted a preview. :3

EDIT: You know, I have absolutely no basis for that. But who cares.

Well, tha novel has some flaws, more on than in Animesuki threas about this anime. Regarding Bakemonogatari, it's one of the few recent anime I've dropped =]

I really like the OP song. The art looks really, really simple though...maybe it'll grow on me.

I can't help but notice certain words like DRAFT screenplays being used. I would hope that the majority of anime fans would take the high road here and not look at the leaked information and wait for the FINISHED product to be shown on Japanese TV.
