The official Twitter of Marcey Naitou's Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi (Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister) manga announced an anime adaptation on Friday.

The romantic comedy manga originally began as a one-shot by Naitou as part of Weekly Shounen Magazine's competition in December 2020. The one-shot received the most votes and began serializing on the same platform in April 2021. Kodansha shipped the ninth volume on March 16, while the tenth volume is set for a May 17 release. The manga has a cumulative 850,000 copies of its volumes in circulation.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga for digital release in English in January 2022. The seventh volume went on sale on March 7, and the eighth volume is scheduled to be released on May 2.

Synopsis
Uryuu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream—matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke. Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters—but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the temple! (Source: Kodansha USA)

It was bound to eventually. Now all 3 harem mangas on my list are getting an anime. Goddess Cafe Terrace is already running, Temple is getting one and now this too.

This trend has always been alive, but the point is different. Now there are too many people who, firstly, see any show as a source of fanservice, and secondly, have a huge inferiority complex towards other men and, as a result, hostility towards them. That's why we have so many straight guys obsessed with all-female franchises more than the straw feminists from based jokes.

The only people I’ve ever met who are obsessed with all-girl anime like idol series and CGDCT are odd and kinda creepy. Obviously not all males interested in that genre are like that, but I’ve noticed that correlation.
Ironically, although I've heard a lot of these accusations against fujoshi, I've personally never met girls who were obsessed with limiting any show to only sausage characters.

I’d rather the mc be a guy then get a duplicate Ayakashi Triangle where mc becomes a girl. Neither is better than straight romcoms tho imo, regardless of male or female mc.

i always prefer the MC is a girl lol

For me, having a male mc or female mc doesn’t matter as much as long as there’s a male lead. Aka, I don’t enjoy all-girl cast anime, but if you enjoy the reverse then sure.

I like the manga for this. It was bound to get an anime or sooner or later. It’s similar to the Quintessential Quintuplets but better imo

Really happy it got anime.

Nice, figured this'd get an anime soon enough

I hope they're using three VA in their manga promotional video for the heroine. Kayano Ai, Amamiya Sora and Sakura Ayane is perfect for these three girls.

Also, Yae is the best girl.

Cute looking waifus...I'll check it out to see if it'll be one of the better romcoms

Sure this got an adaptation, but the thing is it's just not good.

Even Seo Kouji's ongoing harem feels better.
