'Kingdom' Anime Gets Fourth Season for Spring 2022

A fourth season of the Kingdom television anime was announced following the 26th and final episode broadcast of the third season on Sunday. The announcement also revealed a teaser visual (pictured) and a Spring 2022 premiere.

The anime series adapts Yasuhisa Hara's historical drama manga, which he began in Young Jump magazine in January 2006. Shueisha shipped the 62nd on July 16.

Studio Pierrot produced the first two seasons in Summer 2012 and Summer 2013, each airing in three cours.

The third season by Studio Signpost premiered in Spring 2020 and was postponed after four episodes till Spring 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funimation is streaming all three seasons with English subtitles.

Made my bf start Kingdom and he thought it was hot ass, now he's hooked at the end of season 1 😂 I'm soooo excited for this!!!

Great news for this series and the fans, latest season was really good, and hopefully this one will be too, the arc/s this season will cover should be done greatly.

Season 2 and 3 look pretty great though, so I might do it anyway.

read the manga till it covers everything in season 1 and the proceed with the anime. said this, you could instead just read the manga and ignore the adaptation. its up to you.

Do it, man! Totally worth it.

I mean yeah, S1 is a tough watch early on but the awesome story will help you get through it for sure, to the point you just somewhat forget about its technical flaws. After that it's pretty much smooth sailing.

one of very rare case where anime adaptation get better as more season goes. and recently world trigger. i like this trend. they take time rather than rushed and pushing production to it's limit.

I love this anime, and each season is better than the one before so getting a fourth is very nice.

Pretty awesome news. I still gotta binge S3, but I might as well wait for S4 to air. Here's hoping to even more seasons in the future and a complete adaptation.

A big massive LFG!!
One Piece and Kingdom, two of my most favourite manga of all time. Finally Kingdom getting the respect. All that's left is an English translated version of the graphic novels by Viz/Kodansha...I want to see Kingdom on my bookshelves ASAP!!
