3) Don't leave the story unfinished (I'm looking at you Total Eclipse !! since Total Eclipse continues the story after the anime and the LN, even the VN are not translated so while I had to spoil myself but looking at the muv-luv fandom, I'm still unsatisfied with how they didn't continue the story because it only gets interesting after Ep 24)

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Total Eclipse is an immediate prequel to Alternative. Timing-wise, Alternative starts just a few weeks after Total Eclipse ends, so the story continues directly from there (though the storytelling switches from an American to a Japanese point-of-view).

I mean the anime, it hasn't even reached half-way through the Total Eclipse story, I know it's a prequel to Alternative but the LN and VN continues where the anime left off.

4) MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO NOT EVEN MENTION "that scene", I regret the day I had to see it (Had to drop the VN temporary).
That scene was one of the best parts of the VN though, and the aftermath was even more tragic. That single scene was what made MLA one of the best VNs ever written, so of course people will talk about it a lot.

Though, I'm pretty sure that they will censor that scene ridiculously hard in the anime since I doubt that they would even be able to show the OG CG in the VN on TV lol.

I get what you mean since it added depth to the story, but I mean the first +18 scene, it is totally tragic but I wish I sip some unsee juice.

Well all in all, since budget is being put for an MLA anime, I have a feeling it might adapt the manga tho, we'll have to wait and see

This is going to be a disaster and we all know it. I mean, if studios with actually good VN adaptations (like White Fox and ufotable) struggled to make "The perfect adaptation" I can´t imagine what the Alternative elitists will say. There´s also the fact that as far as I remember there´s not a good Mu-luv anime to date, so, even if the original and Alternative are not that related to some people, it gives context.

Seeing as I recieved this and as someone who already finished muv-luv Extra-Unlimited + Alternative, I hope:

1) They animate the full VN (No I mean not leave out important parts of the VN)
2) Make it less fan servicey (Not that I mind of course)
3) Don't leave the story unfinished (I'm looking at you Total Eclipse !! since Total Eclipse continues the story after the anime and the LN, even the VN are not translated so while I had to spoil myself but looking at the muv-luv fandom, I'm still unsatisfied with how they didn't continue the story because it only gets interesting after Ep 24)

Muv-Luv? Whoa fuck, I haven't heard of that name in a long time. Awesome.

The character designs in the anime already look better than the designs in the visual novel (Ugly ass artstyle, which is why I'll never touch the series)

i better see some sexy skin tight outfits on the girls and some sexy camera angles like in Total Eclipse<333

They will skip Extra and Unlimited parts?

May 1, 2021 8:35 PM by Fabris

This is going to be one of those shitty adaptations. Damn shame really.

Well, I read that Rumbling Hearts was much earlier and originally Muv-Luv appeared as an experimental development of this series. Like that VN about the city of twins, which has both a themed harem and a silly moe detective action.

It's actually the other way around, Muv-Luv is a spin off of Rumbling Hears/Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. They actually share quite a few characters with the Akane Maniax game/OVA being the bridge between Muv-Luv and KimiNozu
Really? Huh. I guess I learned something new today. I did know that Akane Maniax connected Muv-Luv and Rumbling Hearts together, but I didn’t know Rumbling Hearts came out first. Interesting.

Side-note: Akane Maniax was an acid trip lol.

Yeah the funny thing is Muv Luv is the spin off sequel(in a way) to Rumbling Hearts lol. Which explains why Akane is in it and the two heroines in Alternative

>VN
>receives anime adaptation

uhhh this is fairly interesting, let's see how many ppl will hate this one.

This is the second promotional trailer and they are still only showing mecha and no characters... this is suspicious.

There's also Sumika in the promotional artwork which is weird... at the same time how are they going to make new viewer care about Sumika if they are going to jump straight to alternative? I guess they will either use flashback or adapt part of extra/unlimited. Or woe be upon us and they mix the 3 VN to makes an anime original route à la Rewrite.

In any case I'm not looking forward to it. VN adaptation are a big coinflip and I prefer extra more than alternative. I still hope this adaptation does justice to the fan because no VN adaptation deserves to be trashed.

The production looks good but who knows how the adaptation will be thou.

May 1, 2021 3:22 PM by MegamiRem

They skip the first two routes of the VN with this one (Muv-Luv is a trilogy and all of them matter to get the whole thing).

So I rather advice all to play the VN, that being Muv-Luv (including Ultimate) and then Alternative.

They are on Steam, so easily accessible.

It's worth your time, not kidding here.
