A special livestream program for the anime adaptation of Kousuke Oono's Gokushufudou (The Way of the Househusband) manga announced a second part on Friday.

Synopsis
"Immortal Tatsu," the legendary yakuza who single-handedly defeated a rival gang with a lead pipe, is a name known to strike fear in both hardened police officers and vicious criminals. Soon after his sudden disappearance, he resurfaces with a slight change in profession. Now equipped with an apron, Tatsu has given up violence and is trying to make an honest living as a house husband.

While adapting to mundane household tasks, Tatsu finds that being a house husband has its own challenges, from the battlefield known as supermarket sales to failures in the kitchen. Despite living peacefully, misunderstandings seem to follow him left and right. Gokushufudou follows the daily life of the comically serious ex-yakuza as he leaves behind his dangerous previous life to become a stay-at-home husband. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

The anime series adapts Oono's slice of life comedy manga, which began its serialization in Kurage Bunch in February 2018. Shinchosha published the seventh volume on March 9. Netflix released the first part of the anime consisting of five episodes on Thursday.

I can't wait for more powerpoint "animation". Yuck

How are people still hating on this.

It has its own style, and it focuses on the comedy over animation. And it's great.
Go watch Jujutsu Kaisen if you want bomb animation then.

Let's just hope this isn't a glorified PowerPoint presentation again

I doubt they are going to change the animation for the second part which is very unfortunate. They nailed the humor and it is an interesting concept. The animation makes it so much worse though. They could have put in a little more effort than they did.

This actually makes me angry. Such a low effort POS is apparently making money because of idiots who are satisfied with any shit that gets pumped up. This is what they meant when they said that Netflix will ruin anime.

Guys just reading manga and don't waste your time with this shit...
J.C staff sucked🚶‍♂️💔

I was fairly excited to watch The Way of the Househusband on Netflix. It seemed like an interesting anime based on the plot synopsis but these reviews about the animation are scaring me.

I'm still going to watch the anime and form my own opinion about it but this is certainly not how I expected people to react to news about more episodes coming out so quickly.

Hopefully with a better budget to actually animate it. Don't get me wrong, this season had it's charms with the animation, but it runs out fast.

I so wish they made a full length anime out of this with a proper production budget. The manga is hilarious, it deserves better.

They should remake older comedy anime in this style, imagine how great would Nichijou be if it was a slideshow.

Its not about low or high budget, its about the concept (include animation) that fit to the show especially the comedy. So if you think they need to improve the animation like an usual anime that you watching everyday, sorry to say it doesnt work like that

Studio Queen Bee could have animated this better than JC staff🤔

It's like flipping through manga... Easily the worst animation of this season :(
No effort from JC staff and also Netflix for producing this with such a low budget!

JC Staff putting no effort into this anime, sad this is just a slide show.
