J.C.Staff Unveils 'Skate-Leading☆Stars' Original TV Anime

An original television anime titled Skate-Leading☆Stars was announced by animation studio J.C.Staff on Monday. The anime series will both air on television and stream online in 2020.

Gorou Taniguchi—known for helming titles such as Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion), Junketsu no Maria (Maria the Virgin Witch), and Planetes—is serving as the chief director. Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) manga creator Yana Toboso is drawing the original character designs.

Kensei Maeshima: Yuuma Uchida (Macross Δ)
Hayato Sasugai: Makoto Furukawa (Tsukipro The Animation)
Reo Shinozaki: Hiroshi Kamiya (Re:␣Hamatora)

The anime will tell the story of high school students as they compete in groups in a unique form of figure skating called "Skate-Leading."

Looks interesting to say the least but then again debating whenever it is worth the watch. I got super exited when I found YOI and I'm impatiently waiting for the movie to come out. This just seems copied...Unless the creators of this one come up with a different, and interesting storyline then I am willing to watch it through.

At first I thought it was some skateboarding anime, wich sounded great, but it ended up being some queer on ice lookalike. Yes, I should read things slower.
