The wraparound band on the tenth volume of NisiOisiN's Bishounen Series (Pretty Boy Detective Club) announced an anime adaptation for the novel on Friday.

Synopsis
The Bishounen Series centers on the Pretty Boy Detective Club, a nonprofit organization located at Yubiwa Private Academy, with the purpose of helping those in need, but only if their requests are deemed as "beautiful" by the team's leader, Manabu Soutouin. The story begins when Mayumi Doujima, a girl looking to find the star she once saw ever since she was a child, encounters the Pretty Boy Detectives and requests their help for the case. Kodansha began printing the novel series through its Kodansha Taiga label with illustrations by Kinako (Gatchaman Crowds) in October 2015. The ninth volume went on sale in October 2018. The publisher will ship the 11th volume on December 20.

Suzuka Oda (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo) began drawing a manga adaptation titled Bishounen Tanteidan in ARIA magazine in April 2016. Following the discontinuation of ARIA in April 2018, the manga switched to Shounen Magazine Edge in October that year. Kodansha published the fifth volume on September 6.

Ahahah, yeah... no. The synopsis looks like one of the most random thing ever (even more than most of his other works); and the combination of "detective" and "NisiOisiN" is a red flag fore me. I've read Zaregoto, and he doesn't know how to write detective stories.
So it's a detective story by someone who has shown his lack of ability to write detective story, with a super random addition into the mix just to look different.

This hopefully WON'T be done by the shaft as a lot of their talent has moved elsewhere, Specifically Mappa to work on that shitty fire anime that butchered the amazing manga.

Seriously other adaptation of the Nisioisin work's? He already has lucky that shaft adapt the entire monogatari saga although. Although I look resentfull perhaps because I never liked his works (perhaps except for katanagatari, but he also has elements that I hate of his writing) It is because his anime is always made with a very good production and an incredible staff as a director like Shinbou who always gives him a unique visual style also to always having good illustrators for the designs of his novels and manga, I wonder if he would have the same fame if his designs were more common and the animes were not made by shaft.

This means you haven't read the manga.

Nah I didn't, and the anime didn't really convince me to either lmao

The first season is really bad because it adapts the introduction arc, the first three volumes, where nothing really happens. It was made to "appeal" a certain type of readers, because then the story takes other ways. There are 20 more volumes after the first season.

This could either end up being a reverse Monogatari (aka great) or like a Medaka Box (aka bad)

lol that's some remarkable versatility right there. Quite laudable.

Nisi providing pretty girls and boys left and right. Good! I just saw someone talking about this on Twitter a few minutes ago. Seems promising and hopefully this announcement will give us the possibility of an English localization for the novels.

Dont see why not , pretty much everything else of nisi's has a official translation

NisiOisiN's works are always hit or miss for me, so I hope it's a hit.

Well, I for sure didn't expect this to be the next Nisioisin's work to be animated.

The maker of the monogatari series made a story aimed at the female audience? I actually didn't expect that, it's quite a surprise! I'll check it out, since it made me curious, also, more detective stories are always welcome! :D

Oh, this looks pretty interesting and the writer’s past works are very acclaimed too so I’m looking forward to more news on this!
