Mangaka Naoki Urasawa Returns to Big Comic Spirits With New Serialization

This year's 42nd and 43rd combined issue of Big Comic Spirits magazine has announced on Friday that mangaka Naoki Urawasa will begin a new serialization. It will be 11 years since 20th and 21st Century Boys combined manga series ended serialization on July 2007 on this magazine. It will be released on 45th issue of the magazine on October 6. Digital version will also be released for the new series. There is a text written Anoko wa Itsumo Hashitteru (That Child Always Runs), which is not sure if it will be the title to the new series.

Urasawa debuted with BETA! in 1983. Some of his titles are Monster, Pluto and Yawara!, which received or will be receiving anime adaptations. Mujirushi, his latest serialization overall, was published via Big Comic Original magazine between October 20 of last year to February 20.

Wow, i wasn't expecting a new series from Naoki Urasawa. I hope this series will be as good as Monster. I hope he won't prolong the series, just for the sake of keeping it in serialization. Both billy bat and 20th Century Boys could have been concluded a lot earlier than when these series ended. A new series from this legend is always a happy addition to one's life.

We don't have any new info on the Pluto anime tho, at this point we don't even know if it's still in production or cancelled.

not reading majirushi yet, but already on my laptop... waiting for correct time...

he is outstanding as story setter, but still, i wouldn't call him that good of author...

I never thought I would see another Naoki Urusawa series so I’m definitely excited, this is great news. I still have Billy Bat to read, but it’s nice to know there’s more Naoki manga coming in the future. I was already hyped for the Pluto anime too. That would be cool if this is a long-running mystery series.
