nigga u got 30 fucking seconds srsly stop. its sad that ppl make assumptions from PVs which are just supposed to show animation and designs, not the fucking narrative.

well... my favorite VN will be destroyed.

Luckily you can just ignore it. Same with those Hollywood anime adaptations (poor Kusanagi). They can't ruin the source material or delete your memoires.

You guys have no idea how depressing this is going to be lol

Like seriously, Planetarian is the most sad/emotional thing Key has ever made, maybe even more than Refrain.

You'all gonna cry like babies, we vn readers can guarantee that.

David Production + Key + Lia? Sign me up. ^_^

Daisuke Ono is the perfect role for the cynical main lead. I read Planetarian ages ago, but iirc she was voiced in a much higher pitch in the VN?

Well, not sure about the decision to make a web series and a movie adapting side story, but I'll watch them.

There are actions in the VN, too.

Didn't understand anything from the PV and apparently this is based off of a visual novel? Looks interesting, I think I'll watch it when it comes out online.

Play it. You'll love the story as it is, that way.
(I mean: of course this thing won't be adapted intact. The director will get his hands over it a bit, too.)

You are probably right... Especially since as far as I know it's only a few hours long. I rarely play visual novels which have few CGs for some reason, that's probably why I omitted it till now. I'll try to make some time for it in my gaming schedule :D

Oh god no please. The VN was too beautiful for it to get butchered with an anime...

Also, the trailer spoiled 99% of the content. I just won't watch this. Planetarian and Hoshino Yumemi herself have an irreplaceable spot on my heart. Inb4 all 4chan-reddit-etc. gets to watch it, makes it viral for god-knows-why, and ends up destroying all the feels this VN gives.

Oh no, not a faithful visual novel adaptation. How horrible.

Everyone knows anime ruins everything. Even worse when it makes people know about it. Nothing worse than that.

Woah, PV was pretty nice. I'll give this a looksee when it starts airing.

Tbh I'm just happy that it got adaptation like Rewrite.
Pretty good(or bad Dx) year for Key fans.

Not a big fan of the character designs, but the production value seems decent and 5 episodes are just the right amount of time needed to adapt the story at a nice and even pace. I don't have much of an opinion on the staff, so I guess I'll be going into this a little blind although it'll be tough to butcher such a straightforward story so I have mild expectations.

Not sure about the movie though as I never looked into the drama CD, but I'll be sure to check it out. Would've ideally preferred the main story to get a movie, but this is fine too.
