The official website of Weekly Shonen Jump announced that Masashi Kishimoto's manga Naruto will end in five weeks after 15 years of serialization.

Last year, it was announced that Naruto was in its final phase of the author's storyline, and in June 2012, it was announced that the story was approaching its climax.

Even though I have been disliking like 80% of the stuff that happenned in last 200+ episodes and kept saying I would like it to end, somehow I feel sad that it's really happenning.

Okay I feel like crying and I'm not even a Naruto fan. It's just that Naruto was an anime I watched before I even was into anime. I'm going to miss it.

As much as I'd like to see that, there's just no way that'll happen...

how do you know? That can still very well happen. It would make sense to because of all of the great hokage's before naruto, all died protecting something they held of great importance. It is still a possible scenario.

What if they pull a whole "Armeggedon" ending with the moon collision. lol You know how in the film Armeggedon, the main actor sacrifises him self for the planet destroying the astriod in the process. Still i am hoping the whole "Moon collision" thing is relevent to the main story in some way or another. I would hate for that to be some sort of development that just suddenly comes out of no where.

Kishimoto spoiled it by revealing Naruto and Sasuke's designs for the movie, meaning that they're still alive two years after the manga is over.

^this

Also, even if that wasn't the case, I'm not expecting anything from this anymore. The writing has been so bad the past who knows how many chapters that I just don't see a good ending coming anymore... even including the movie.

Isn't that sad :C I thought I'd grow old with it... xD Though that might just happen with the anime *-*

Good long 15 years, I grew up reading this one :p

As far as the ending goes I probably won't get the one I like (sacrifice/etc) but you never know, if you go out, might as well go out with a bang, eh?

There's a giant flaw in your idea there. Naruto isn't Hokage.

After all these years it's going to be sad. I'm just hoping that Naruto get's the ending it deserves.

Oct 16, 2014 10:16 AM by ET93

It's good that it's ending, it's been drawn out for so long.

That being said, it is the first manga I ever read, so I'll be somewhat sad to see it go.

PS: I think one of the most resolved endings that really tug on our heart strings would be the main hero dies for a good cause. lol That would actually make for satisfying end imo.
