A songwriter Sonoda Ryoji was arrested for using illegal stimulant drugs. He wrote the lyrics of many popular pop songs including anime songs.

His anime-related songs:

Do you even know the percentage of a population that has used drugs, even if it's once?

Go find out and you'll stop seeing this as a big deal. I'd be worried the moment he's turned into a junkie so he can't make them anymore.

Of course, I do live in the Netherlands where weed is legal, so I might be a little biased.
