Didn't they use one of those pieces as BGM for Day of Sagittarius, or was it by another composer, can't really remember but oh well.

Yes it is. Seems like this is an extended version of the BGM....

I know it's super late to post this but....

Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou is the only classical pieces I heard to be considered as PERFECT.
They got those BGM and few songs converted into classical is super awesome!

The only down side is that.....

I TOTALLY REGRET IT FOR NOT ATTENDING. IF THERE'S A SECOND PERFORMANCE, I SWEAR I'M GONNA ATTEND IT.

I own this CD. It's great. I love classical renderings, and it really showcases the music from the series.

This album gives a sense of William's classical scores , especially pompous and sudden endings of few tracks. I'm surprised that Aya Hirano's voice was so clear and it fitted the instrumental background.Great job, I'd like to hear something like that made with Bepop or TTGL

Haha, the concert sounded pretty good actually. At least the CD-version of it, sold afterwards... An musical version of Hare Hare Yukai were an awesome piece!

...wonder what they will do next? Maybe an Lucky Star concert, huh?

Oh! First I thought it was Haruhi's original soundtrack and didn't know why they gave it a soviet name. Later I realized they just stole it from Shostakovich.

The show was alright, but this is going way too far. How does classical music fit Haruhi at all?

In my opinion it fits very well.

Analysis: Aya Hirano had to sing reservedly since she had the orchestral accompaniment, which actually made her sound better as it was the quiver and screaming that previously killed her live performances, imo.

Yuki Muon with the orchestra is JUST AS IMAGINED AWESOME.

Basically, this GENSOU was a live performance with orchestral backing by the Tokyo philharmonic orchestra.

Pfft. Way to burst my bubble.

I would totally want to see this....
But the first problem is that I dont don't even really know what the orchestra would be playing, the Haruhi soundtrack?
And the second problem would be that I don't live in Japan xD Tokyo is like at the other side of the world, that's to bad...
