Not really sure what else is scheduled for winter, but this is probably gonna be one of my more highly anticipated shows of the season. If there isn't too much fan service and comedy I think it could be good, but I don't know much about the source material.

The premise sounds interesting and judging from the casts it seems it's not going to be harem, though whether i watch this will probably depend on which way the balance of the plot shifts: soap opera love triangle surrounding the male protagonist or kickass magic battles?
I hope it's the latter since the studio and casts are awesome.

Oh. alright. I thought maybe the chara was actually the same person with different name and you cleared that up. Thanks.
Just some more information: Aiba Tsuganashi is the elder brother of the heroine Aiba Mui while Nanase Gekkou is the younger brother of the hero Nanase Takeshi so they are most likely not the same person.

By the way, I have just checked and the Japanese wiki for Mahou Sensou already has the role voiced by Okamoto corrected. On the other hand, the English wiki for MahoSen still has Okamoto voicing Aiba Tsuganashi. Oh well.

I was thinking more about "another Mahou" than about Madhouse, but I guess I was not very clear about what I meant to comment in my post.

I was talking about this^ since Mahou Sensou studio was announced after Mahouka announcement, haha

The official anime site has Okamoto voicing Nanase Gekkou, so if ANN listed it as Tsuganashi Aiba, then ANN has got it wrong. Perhaps ANN got their information from the Japanese wiki of MahoSen (which also has Okamoto voicing Aiba although the entry for Okamoto correctly has him vocing Gekkou in MahoSen).

^ Nobody said that when it Rettousei was announced to have anime adaptation... I guess this just goes to show the gap of popularity and awareness between the two LNs....
Doesn't people say this now because the studio for MahoSen was revealed to be Madhouse only after the Mahouka announcement?

Nanase Gekka: Okamoto Nobuhiko

It's Gekkou, actually.
ANN listed it Nobuhiko Okamoto as Tsuganashi Aiba...so, misinformation on their side?

Madhouse handling 2 series... I don't like where this is going~
Mahou Sensou probably got the lower production value and effort though. Or does Madhouse have different studios as well just like in Sunrise's case?
I guess it would not be so much of a problem if the 2 series are not aired in the same cour?

Yeah, Mahouka will probably air on Summer since it's a smarter move that way...

if rettousei to air in winter too,, maybe mahou sensou willl get lower budget considering the gap of popularity between them... well, we can only guess..
