It's a shame seeing something I have read/watched for many years to come to a near end :/

finally its gonna end

Oct 16, 2013 7:28 AM by gustave154

To be honest out of the big 3 bleach is my favorite...who knows how long this will be or what will happen you never know these days maybe sales will spike up maybe he is just misleading everyone to get panic going to spike sales who knows.

I wonder if they're gonna drag this battle out like they are doing with the latest naruto fight? Plus you gotta think what will take it's spot as one of the big 3 (Big 3 meaning the most well known manga at the time not talking about sales) be cool if Magi took the stand but idk maybe something crazy will happen.

damn it its like a FREAKING NIGHTMARE
i have waited soooo long and i havent read the manga hoping anime would come back and continue and i did my best to support bleach

this is not a good repay for all those fans ..

besides if bleach ends there is no other anime that can take its place atleast not for me.. all those great voice acting and great stories and amazing jokes ..
i even loved fillers about bleach i still watch them every month

why should they end and leave this masterpiece when there are so many fans who love it to continue from all over the world ... what else they want

I wonder what is going to replace these anime's, once they are finished, i mean what do they have for the future besides one piece. Considering sales outside of japan, naruto and bleach are like the most popular where as one piece is just kind of getting started.

I wonder what the future generation of shonen's will be.

Hoping for hunter x hunter to return

ORRRZ, because it reached the story end? Which fits far more with all the statements Kubo made before.

That this would be the last arc we have known for at least two years or more.

Aug 28, 2013 10:54 AM by Ahenshihael

Bleach is ending because it's sales are decreasing.

Aug 28, 2013 10:10 AM by ravagestorm

So basically, when does Bleach continues ? Manga isn't out for a while now... and one more quick question, Bleach is ending soon? Few last chapters ?

Aug 28, 2013 7:47 AM by Dyriel-Kun

Oh... the endless discussions of fanboys. Anyway, I'm also ready for this to end. It has been a great run, but it seems an era is coming to its end with all the series ending. Makes me feel kinda sad.

There are many who consider the arrancar arc as good as SS arc. which is why I stated that. While that arc had unique things to it, I don't agree with them. This arc, on the other hand, has had quite a bit of freshness to it which was missing ever since the SS arc.

Also, I really don't mind you saying that you don't like the arc but it definitely was not horrible. That's like saying the Marineford arc in One Piece had stupid things thrown left and right just for the sake of making it seem like a big battle.

If anything, the decent rank Bleach has been having since Decemeber last year is proof of that, inspite the number of popular series in JUMP these days.

Out of curiosity, why is Byakuya stupid?

I'm sorry, but having to weaken your characters of the good side with a move that is completely out of character just so that the opponents would seem kinda intimidating is not good writing. Neither is making Ichigo part of everything in the universe good writing. That is poor writing and proof that Kubo has no idea how to handle Ichigo's (or any character's) character development.

As for Byakuya, he was the most experienced of the lot, so him going all "Hey, they can copy our Bankai, so let's use it so they can copy it instead of just curbstomping them, which I can perfectly do without my bankai" is completely out of character and stupid as hell. All of the captains who did it were stupid, but Byakuya is especially so since he's more experienced than the others.

You like Naruto, that entirely invalidates anything you may have to say about the quality of writing in Bleach since you're so willing to accept the absolute hogwash known as Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto.
Nothing Kubo has said has contradicted anything in the past, Ichigo being part of 4 known types of souls that together balance out and create a lethal weapon from what would've been a death sentence in the past is well within the plot and is even supported in the story itself. Even so it's hardly on the level of retconning everything from very basis of your power system, to your main character's morals and motivations.
Also good job on citing the anime, genius. The third story arc in Bleach is known as the Hueco Mundo arc and it spans from ever since Yammy and Ulquiorra first set foot on Karakura until Ichigo lost his powers and Rukia left the human world.

I would also like to add that Byakuya is one of the youngest captains and by far one of the most inexperienced.
The most experienced captains did not bring out their Bankai, the newbie captains were the ones who had their Bankai stolen.
You would know this if you knew the first thing about the series you're trying to bash.

Here's the thing; they knew that their Bankai could be copied. They didn't wait for Mayuri, the one that was looking into this "phenomenon", to give the signal to activate their Bankai to see what was going on. For someone as experienced and strong as Byakuya that was completely and utterly stupid to do and destroyed his character.

They believed their bankai could be sealed not copied. Big difference in being copied, where you are at risk of having the enemy use your attacks also, and sealed, where the enemy just simply seals it away. Which is probably why they felt they could retrieve their bankai somehow.

When did I say One Piece didn't have it's downfalls? Why didn't Akainu remove the ice in the beginning and burn the water? Why did he need to? They were trapped, was there anything necessary for him to do? Or do you really think he could've afforded to waste his energy on mere fodder and fight Whitebeard without full strength? That would've been stupid in itself. Why didn't Whitebeard use his powers while his pirates were being slaughtered? He realised that Sengoku was bringing him into a trap and was focused on that. Plus, do you think he can focus on helping his allies when he's got the three Admirals, Garp and Sengoku in front of him waiting for a chance?

No no, I mean the walls that were up from before, he could have easily broken it down allowing the pirates to spread out instead of staying in once concentrated area. Akainu did heat the ice but he did it much later. Luffy's powerup never made sense since they never bothered showing when he trained or where or how he came across that idea. Thank God I ain't the only one who seems to be seeing that.

yhunata said:
It's not so much as useless, but ridiculous. Ichigo's power-ups are ridiculous and most of the time, makes no sense whatsoever. And anyone who thought that Ichigo's family was normal would be an idiot. While Naruto, Luffy and even Goku all train for their strength, Ichigo barely does jack shit and Toriko has the Gourmet Cells. Natsu is a ridiculous excuse for a battle shonen MC, so he's far worse than Ichigo to begin with. I would say that Gear Second is a ridiculous power up for Luffy to get during the Enies Lobby arc, though.

That's just simply nitpicking. They've always shown him to train. No matter what powerup Ichigo has gotten, he has always been shown to train. Toriko's gourmet cells are not an excuse. The powerups in Toriko are ridiculous, 2nd only to FT. Half the time, they never show Toriko training and only at a time when he is about to be beaten he goes "Guess I have no choice but to use that" and baam, powerup literally outta nowhere. That's never happened in Bleach. Ichigo is said to have a large amount of reiatsu that has still not reached its peak. It's been shown ever since the start of the series that as battles go on, he keeps getting stronger at an alarming rate. I'd say its along the lines of what is seen in the manga "Kingdom". If you read that series, you'll know what I mean. So if anything, the powerups Ichigo gets, make much more sense than Toriko or FT.

This arc is horrible, the reason being the destruction of the characters needlessly (Unohana's is the only one that worked properly and made a lick of sense), horribly written villains and horrible attempts at Ichigo's character development. I'll agree that Naruto lacks freshness, but that's barely the point in this discussion now, is it?

Villains weren't even shown other than for battle -_- All Kubo did was show them for 2 chapters. Nothing else was revealed. It's the same for the arrancar arc or even SS arc. No one was introduced in the beginning itself with some huge developement. Its as the arc progresses that more about them are revealed. So thats a wrong point to make. This arc showed a lot. One thing, Byakuya who was shown to never fear anyone, be taken over by fear itself. Kenpachi who uses brute force, be beaten by brute force. If anything, your argument that Unohana's fight is what made more sense is weird since Unohana's fight was perhaps one of the worst in the series. As for character development, like I've said, Kubo has always portrayed Ichigo's family to be mysterious and weird. There was hardly any character development in this arc for Ichigo. The past story thing was more of what fans wanted to know and answering a lot of questions.

Ah seems like I wasnt the only one that hate the idea of "stealing bankai". That actually mean that the Stern Ritters arent really that strong without the Medallion. I suspect Urahara is actually creating something that can neglect it, then the shinigami could win easily. This isnt fun to read at all.

I wouldn't say that. Even if Urahara builds something, they ARE in SS now which means they have unlimited access to reishi around them which they can use to heal their wounds and gain strength. Also they have that quincy holyform. If anything, getting shinigami their chance to release their bankai would just even the odds for shinigami.

I am glad to see this end though. Not that I'd ever read this garbage, but I might watch an abridged series of the anime.

Conan is garbage shitty procedural format. Bleach is fine.. i mean, wtf... how long that stupid little kid is looking for those criminals? Best Detective...... yeh wuteva. :D

About Byakuya. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. They were told that they "seal" bankai not steal them. Hence byakuya's method of having his bankai "sealed", learn something about their ability in the process and have Renji use his and beat the quincy. Soi fon's move was stupid since he bankai is literally useless and can be used just once. So i'll give you that. But byakuya's made sense. Also it was a way to show that he trusted Renji's ability which is something that's not shown much from him.

About Ichigo. Meh. Its a requirement in a Shounen series to have powerful main characters. Naruto, Luffy, Natsu, Toriko, Goku all are overpowered. While Natus and Toriko have useless powerups Ichigo has never had one. It's not like Ichigo learnt a new quincy ability. All he did was learn about his past and reaffirm who he really was. It's been for-shadowed for so long that his family isn't something normal. There might even be a reason. Maybe that's why the soul king is interested in him and that's why the grand fisher once told "Ichigo is a pure blood".

I could go on to tell why your points aren't even valid enough to call this arc bad but I don't think that'd change your opinion eitherways. If you wanna dislike a series, there can be a 100 points to nitpick on. It goes for every series. Bottomline is this arc is a good arc. It's not the best and not as great as the SS arc but its close and its fresh. It's something Naruto lacks these days, the freshness.

RIP Bleach, would be tasty to see the series re-air after the manga has ended.
I hope so since it would be a shame if the best arc isn't animated.

Best arc of Bleach was animated over half a decade ago. 1000 year Blood War Arc isn't that good if you compare it to the Soul Society Arc, which is Bleach's best arc.

This arc is better than the past 2 arcs. It's not as impressive as SS arc because that, initially, was supposed to be the ONLY arc in Bleach. So he planned that out well. This new arc is probably the 2nd best arc in the series especially given how he connected things together.

Saying that it's better than the Arrancar and Karakura Town arcs isn't really saying much, you know. The first part of this arc, the Invasion part, was horrible. Horrible enough to be called worse than the Bount filler arc. Kubo was having the characters pull off stupid shit just for the sake of making the enemies look a bit tougher, but it backfired. Only Juha Bach looks even a bit intimidating, the others look like a bunch of cowards that can't fight properly. And the Captains are idiots, especially Byakuya. So actually, this is, so far, the worst arc of Bleach and seeing how weak it's past two arcs were, that is saying something.
