Right, I forgot about Magi, it might be eight >10k titles. Very good season sales-wise, Girls und Panzer should be over 20k soon as well. Maybe 25k in mid-yearly list? Amazing success for something deemed to be simply average before season started. Psycho-Pass and K with 7.5 are doing really nice too. I wonder how much PP will sell in longer run as it's kind of series which gathers more dedicated fans as it airs, we already see that by it exceeding our ~5k expectations we made in XI and XII.

I wish I knew about OniAi earlier, wouldn't be so disappointed in the end. Actually, I read about it being revealed quite early in LN just yesterday. Makes it easier to deal with but I'm still a little angry at author's lack of balls.

Wow, 12k for Darkness! Hell yeah! now we have to wait for JoJo, the only one left who poses any danger to the best ecchi ever made.
I don't watch Hidamari but good luck getting 10k soon! That would mean outstanding !seven! >10k titles in one season.
Even though the Fall Season does not have super-hit like SAO. It is still a plentiful harvest for good sellers with at least 6 titles (perhaps up to 8) selling >10k (the line for good hit) - GirlPan, Chuunibyou, Darkness, Gintama, Little Busters, JoJo and perhaps Magi and Hidamari too.

I'm glad to see OniAi doing decent 2.5k. Even if ending revelation was the worst thing in whole series, I really enjoyed previous 11 episodes.
Somehow I was spoiled for that quite early in the series so it did not impact much for my enjoyment. In fact I heard that this is revealed quite early in the LN too. Anyway, I am glad to see it is making a sales comparable to NakaImo from the previous season. Both are the better performing ecchi/harem LN-adapted shows but somehow I found myself enjoying OniAi more.

Over 2k for Busou Shinki is nice as well.
It is selling at a similar level as Sky Girls. It may be coincidental given Sky Girls is several years old. But it is still intriguing to see the rough parity of sales for the two titles, with both based on a line of mecha-equipped figurines.

Psycho-Pass is really doing better than expected just a month ago. Akane's moe-moe power?

Fantastic news - the BD list has been expanded to a top 100! This is really, really, really huge, and will allow many shows to get an extra week or two (and major hits to get quite a few extra weeks) of data without waiting for the monthly lists, and it's even better for shows that don't sell enough to make the monthly lists.

On the very week when I posted saying we needed more data as well.

Might as well post a longer version of the updated Fall season anime vol.1 ranking here.

Key things

1. GirlPan managed to almost catch up Chuunibyou by 2nd week. It is almost certain that its lack of number in the 3rd week is entirely caused by it going out of stock everywhere. It is also almost certain that GirlPan is the top seller (hegemon in 2ch jargon) of the season because a lot of pent-up orders are not yet delivered (in fact there are still fans who want to order vol.1 but has nowhere to go as Amazon is still not accepting order).

2. Darkness sold quite a bit more in its 2nd week. It now not only easily overtook Little Busters, but in fact overtook Gintama to become the 3rd top selling title of the season.

3. Psycho-Pass and KamiHaji both sold substantially more in 2nd week. Both reflected the favorite view built up among fans over the season. Even though KamiHaji is an anime adapted from a shoujo manga, it seems to have attracted quite a lot of male fans too and I can imagine some of them also contributed to the BD/DVD sales.

4. It is good to see some weaker titles finally have number for the vol.1 sales - OniAi is selling at a level comparable to NakaImo, while Busou Shinki has a number that reminded fans of Sky Girls, an older anime that is based on a line of mecha girl figurines similar to Busou Shinki.

5. Shinsekai Yori vol.1 sales figure is lost in the ranking battle, but with the new expanded BD list we know its vol.2 sold 594 copies -- a very disappointing result I must say. The sale for vol.1 would not be much different from this number.

So does the overall sales for the first volume include the BD sales or not? I can't exactly tell with seeing this...

I can't believe how much sell the ending 1 of magi. It's horrible.

Nice to see more people wanting Psycho pass to do well. The story might be picking up this season so we might see a climb. I'm excited.

I don't think Psycho-Pass' sales are bad they're above average at the most :D
That's right. From a general point of view, as jmal said above, it can be called a modest hit with around 6k sales. On the other hand, if placed against the pre-season expectation, given the information that was available were only things like the staff behind the production, the key visuals, the cast, the trailer etc, it is still not doing bad, with the expectation being 7k (median value) compared to the actual around 6k sales so it is not that underperformed when you look at Little Busters (11k vs predicted 20k) for example.
