Sentai Filmworks Licenses Another

According to their official press release, Sentai Filmworks has licensed the 12 episode TV anime Another.

Another is being simulcasted on Crunchyroll as it airs. Sentai will release the series digitally soon with DVD and Blu-ray releases later this year.

Just got an email from Sentai - show will be out on Blu-ray and dvd July 30th.

Awesome. This is a good series and i'm glad Sentai is licensing some pretty good anime.

awesome now if they get Daily Lives of Highschool Boys wither subbed or dubbed I'm sold same if they get Kimi to Boku, Gundam AGE, or UtaPri sometime too. =D

Ever since Bandai withdrew Sentai has become my newest favorite company they license some nice titles that no one else would even look at.

The anime sounds cool. Not to mention the main girl is cute. Kinda reminds me of another dead cutie named Ai Enma (Jigoku Shoujo). Eyepatches are the win. YES, I'M A FREAK HAHA! XD

It depends on whether Section23/Sentai Filmworks can turn a profit on these releases. Only they would know how well they're doing (and as ADVFilms, they lost immense amounts of money before anyone else ever knew), although it's true that their risks are lower than they used to be.

Supposedly, none of the American distributors are in the black, hence the bad news we've been hearing lately (Media Blasters, Bandai Entertainment, Funimation vs ex-ADV).
