Synopsis

Machizo Sakai's father is a successful mangaka (manga artist). Machizo hates that fact because he feels he's living under his father's shadow. One day he meets a boy in his class, Tetsuo, who enjoys drawing manga (and is quite good at it). Tetsuo's favorite mangaka happens to be Machizo's father. They strike up an alliance in order to win a contest sponsored by Machizo's father's publisher, with Machizo writing the script and Tetsuo illustrating.

The story is about their working relationship, about Kimiko who has a crush on Tetsuo, about the relationship between Machizo and his father, and about Tetsuo's relationship with his family as much as it is about creating manga.

"Can't judge people by their looks". That line, or at least its translation, appears in the fifth chapter when two delinquent-looking high school girls turn out to be really good at pasting screen tones...whatever the hell that is. Apparently something to do with manga.

And yet, that line applies to every aspect of G Senjou Heaven's Door. Ostensibly about two high schoolers making a manga together, it's really about something else entirely. Growing up and maturing. im surprised.. this is so underrated...and does not even have a review.
well im no pro at writing reviews so i gonna be to the point.

some important tags for this manga- manga authors,family issues,sex used as escapism.

this manga is about mangakas aka manga author. it depicts how they sacrifice their family relations,love,affection in exchange for chasing after their dreams of becoming a mangaka.

this manga has drama( a lot of it) ,romance,a bit action and some ecchi.

I remember reading this story 3-4 years ago, and loving it. At that point it had no reviews. And the rating was also low.
Then I saw it again today.....still low rating. I cannot understand how this beautiful manga is so underrated.
I read the story again and believe me it is GOOD.
