Synopsis

A cosmic disaster changed the Earth forever, stripping away every last drop of color from the world. Mankind also changed: the familiar human face is almost forgotten in a world now populated wholly by mutants. Against the backdrop of a moody urban landscape, a lone-wolf investigator named Avidia relies on both his wits and extraordinary gun to hunt down the world's last hidden scraps of color. He soon crosses paths with a very special girl—one who just might hold the key to bringing back what the world has lost.

Colorless is by no means the first to employ the use of color in a black and white manga (one other example I can think of is "majo-senpai nippou", if you like this concept). But it is the first one that I know where color is such a major part of the world mechanics and story. It's used in a very creative way and it looks absolutely stunning. And while still talking about the art, the manga is very gritty and dirty, it matches the world it tries do depict, like a dorohedoro kind of vibe.

Colorless is one of those mangas that has flown under the radar of many and it is criminal. This manga has a unique storyline, amazing art and characters and the world reminds me of Dorohedoro's.
The author talks about how it is an American-styled comic and I honestly believe this to be true. When I first read the first few chapters the only thing I could think of is that it reminds me of the TMNT Black and White Classic Comics released way back when.
