| Finally, they caught the asshole. I'm actually a little afraid from the thought that L will become "the next Kira" if he touches the notebook first. I feel that would be a cheap move from the writers. |
Gascoigne said: When Higuchi makes the comment towards the end : "Programs are over?" "It didn’t end just because I showed up." is he wondering why the program is closed now and not when he had the encounter in the studio earlier? Just been annoying me, maybe I don't understand the line haha. He noticed that the program stopped and not just when he showed up: the show ended way before he got there. Therefore, Higuchi suspects that they knew he was coming to the TV building. That's just my interpretation, though. |
| Very suspenseful epeisode, and pretty fast paced. Porsche vs. Mercedes Benz and Lexus in the highway, nice. As for Higuchi, he was never all that smart. All he had was a Death Note for power and manipulation by his power. He never found out who L was in the end, even with 7 guys helping out. That snipe shot was 10/10, like a real army veteran. |

| Enjoyed this first ever episode with lots of action, but that's to be expected from a showdown against a Kira even if it's a very reckless one. Judging from the preview, seems like Light's plan finally meets success in next episode. But before that all that remains is what will happen to Higuchi—who's still current Kira—now that he's captured alive. |

| Great episode! Very intense, I was completely focused the entire time. And when the eye deal was made I was so scared for Matsuda. But luckily they had planned this and could prevent his death. So in the end everything went well and they caught Kira. Can't wait to see Light getting his powers back (which will happen really soon deciding on the preview), but then again I'm a little scared to watch it because I'm scared for L. He's a great character and it would be a real shame if he gets killed. Tho it's all getting more intense again, so I am excited. I think I haven't mentioned it yet, but Ryuk is so funny in the OP (him and his apples lol). And I've grown so attached to the OP and ED, they're really badass and awesome. Not only because of the songs (tho the songs help a lot) |

| Ah, that was so good, especially at the end when they caught him. L piloting a helicopter and Watari being a goddamn sniper really makes me wonder what shady places they've been. I want a backstory!! Now I'm getting a little nervous though...the next episode is called "revival" so it's probably safe to say that the "normal" Light (if you can call him that) is making a return soon. However, I'm wondering if there's a way that he can get his memories back, or if he put something in place before forfeiting his DN, because Misa had no idea who Rem was even when she touched the note again. Surely he's not gonna become a psycho immediately if he just touches the Death Note- how's he gonna get back to his original self?? Maybe his memories have a condition or something- like, if the current Kira gets caught or dies, then Light becomes Kira again and the memories come back. I dunno how that'd be possible but who knows? |

| everytime i'm rewatcing the series and coming to this ep i'm telling myself - that's how a capture of kira should be and not just knocking on the door and says "you are arrest under suspect u are kira" a one full chase with guns and cars and cornered by twenty cars and armed people and a sniper, as expected for capture of kira. |

| That was an excellent and intense as hell episode, the best episode in a long time from this show and almost made the meh few episodes to build up to this to be forgiven for how well this was executed. For the first time, a Kira was checkmated and the police and task force finally succeeded. Light and L are surely better as rivals trying to take each other down, but this episode was a reward for their alliance while Light is still in normal, non-psychotic mode as a Death Note user. Higuchi got baited hard with never being able to get the manager's real name and with the police force all covering their heads with tinted helmets and using tinted cars to drive, he really got the short end of the stick this time around. |
