So.
Anyone has some scanlations of "The Horror World of Junji Ito", apart from "Falling" and "The mystery of Negima Fault" stories? :)
I would be much obliged for any info on upcoming translations, as well as direct links to some commercial projects that focus on getting those stories out in western part of the world.

Also, feel free to bring out some other info concerning this artist and his works. That's why bbs's are here ppl. ;)

P.s.
I will add some of his manga's to ml database, since we have only "Gyo" and "Uzumaki"... thus we suck to the epical proportions.

Same with me. I have raw volumes 1-14 (with possible vol 15 coming up to me) and no sign of fan translation.

Except for the news, that some of the stories are going to be published in US under "the museum of horror"(?) title, that two volumes of Tomie went under. Any news about that? :3

Well Uzumaki and Gyo are published by Viz. Museum of Terror is what it's being called by Dark Horse.
As for Tomie it was being done by some publisher of called ComicsOne. That publisher disappeared or went under. So no more Tomie.

Ouch, that hurts.
So the only option now is to wait for scanlations by some Anonymous Translator. :/

Haven't you guys heard of Rapidsearch?

Here's Tomie 1 and 2 in English, although I think it's the crappy translations...

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QIUATOT8

But the link might be dead. If it is, just ask and I'll upload everything again.

Thanks for the link, maby someone else needs it. :3

I was especially _not_ searching for Tomie, since not only I already have it translated, but also hate it with all repulsive force I can gather towards poor Junji's creation. For me, it's a missunderstanding, not a good piece of manga whatsoever.

I'm more interested in yet untranslated episodes from other 13 volumes, excluding "the mystery of negima fault" and something-"baloons", that were both translated by Anonymous Translator decades ago. ;)

P.s.
In after rapidsearch.yi.org and /rs/.

Oops. Sorry.
I suppose Tomie is the easiest one to find. It's exceptionally hard to find the other volumes. (I wouldn't mind getting my grubby hands on Souichi's Diaries.)

Nah, it's nice of You to help. :3

As for Dairy of curses, I think I have that one somewhere in THWoJI pack.
I'll search.

As for other titles (mostly raw JP):
- Junji Ito Flesh-Coloured Horror: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=75ax6yfo
- Gyo (Eng): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OSUUPQL5
- Museum of Terror (3 parts) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HVKQYO5J
- http://rapidshare.com/files/64782988/Junji_Ito_-_Lovesick_Dead.rar.html
- Hellstar Remina: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZVU14SXW

And THWoJI 4-15, raw JP is here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I1YUQPQJ - among it's pages are Suichi's Dairy of (curses/something - I think there are two such volumes).

Here is a translation of the first chapter of Hellstar Remina. I do not know if anymore are forthcoming.

Hey thanks for that link! I've been waiting for Hellstar translations but my friend who speaks japanese is extremely lazy... He did however translate some bat story of Ito's for me. I have Gyo 1-2, Uzumaki 1-3, and Museum of Terror 1-3. I disagree with that person knockin' Tomie. I thought it was fantastic. It makes no linear sense to me but that's not why I like Ito! Show me another manga that has a girl growing another body out of the side of her head after getting brutally mauled.

Oh God, I love you MilkmanDan for finding this translation. I almost believed, that noone will ever do it, since it's partially of the mainstream Junji Ito style.

> "Show me another manga that has a girl growing another body out of the side of her head after getting brutally mauled. "
Well, I must give in upon Your argumentation, this indeed was something... unexpected and unique. :)

I recently stumbled upon this http://www.mininova.org/tor/877529 collection. It's raw JP, but still, apart from 1-3 that's basicly Tomie, contains all of Horror World of JI. Most rapidshares were off dead by now, so it's a fast way to obtain it. ^^

Wow, thanks for the links everyone!
MangaTraders has scanlations of Lovesick Dead, Flesh-Colored Horror, Frankenstein, and the first chapter of Voices in the Dark, if anyone's looking for them. Just search Junji Ito and everything they have of his will turn up. (some of them are under Junji ItOU, so don't put parenthesis around his name if you want those to show up)

Also, someone on 4chan had a scanlation of Glyceride ages ago, but unfortunately I messed up and didn't save it. ;_;

Daniel Lau is scanlating several of his manga: http://www.daniel-lau.com/

He was the one who did Frankenstein and Yami no Koe, he's now working on Shin Yami no Koe (only one chapter left til it's done!) and has said he plans to do Hellstar Remina as well.
