I don't get what they meant by having Takamura get a chance at conquering a second weight class

He's already the champion of one weight class, now he's going to try another. It's quite simple.

He will relinquish his belt in one weight class in order to become the champion in the next. Takamura is on a personal quest to conquer 6 different weight classes (Junior Middleweight through Heavyweight).

Oh so that blonde guy from the intro is like the current champion of the next weight class and Takamaru is gonna fight him

So is conquering the heaviest weight class the best feat? Or is conquering a middleweight class just as good as conquering a heavyweight class. I don't know much about boxing so I got confused when they said that he would conquer a second weight class, I thought it was some sort of boxing slang idk

edit: oh crap so the champion of one class can directly fight the champion of the next class
that's so cool i didn't know that. makes sense to me now nvm

Not really. It doesn't matter what weight class you are to be considered to have the best feat or the GOAT. For example, many critics and boxers alike considers Sugar Ray Robinson the boxing GOAT despite being a middle weight and it's also the boxer where Takamura's style is inspired from.

For those who don't know, GOAT = Greatest of all Time

In many sports weight is considered power,at least in most,so the fatter and more muscular you are,the tougher you are.
Beating 6 different weight classes means he pretty much will be the best boxer ever existed in the HnI universe.
Its his dream to beat 6 different weight divisions.

It means he was boxing in a weight class which was lighter than his natural weight. Hence the weight cut before the fight
