Shakugan no Shana DVD vs Blu ray

I recently learned of this anime and i know it started back in 05 and finished 2012. I want to buy the complete series of this anime only problem is i read somewhere online that the DVD release for season 1 and 2 (i believe cant remember) was better then the blu ray and that it lost quality idk what else. So WITH OUT ANY SPOILERS OR OPINIONS you might have which version is better DVD or Blu ray???

I think only season 1 where the DVD is better than the blu-ray version since the bd is an upscale making the whole vid look blurry.

SAVE edition of season 1 is supposed to be released sometime soon in 2014
