So, i'd really want to know how the story will progress after this introductory chapter and the only way would be by playing the VNs, but unfortunately i don't know japanese, and it seems that the translation is stalled. I just wish this adaptation will get more popularity as the story approaches the end since, right now, it's way too underwatched. Do you think that the VNs will eventually get translated? To be honest, i'm sick of waiting 2-3 years for second seasons (and its actually not even sure that WA2 will get to air the closing chapter, depending on the sales).

TL;DR Translate VNs pls.

White Album 2 - Overall: 6639/70253 (9.45%) lines translated, Introductory Chapter: 6639/10769 (61.64%) lines translated

Sick of waiting ?
Then learn the goddamn language. I learned it back in 2004 for 3 years and now I've played 400-ish VNs.

You can learn Japanese and then read WA2 in the time it will take for the entirety of the translation to finish.

And learning a language isn't "difficult"; it's a matter of time, effort, and, most importantly, motivation.

You guys telling him to go learn the language is useless. Not everyone has the time to learn it, and all the man wants to do is play one game.

OT: The translation will take forever, so just play Grisaia no Kajitsu instead.

Also, it will largely depend on how you take it. For instance, instead of GUNDAM, you have to accept GANDAMU ^_^

I was mostly referencing the translation time, and I already acknowledged time as a factor. //Besides, learning the Lunarian language is more fun than watching silly Chinese cartoons or reading pretentious novels, and it's not like WA2 is actually the best eroge ever (source: eroge associates).

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if some guys down at Fuwanovel or something decided to pick up this game due to the adaptation's popularity; it happened with Walkure Romanze. That being said, a script that is nearly 4MB is no laughing matter.

"Pick up" as in it stalls (again, sometime during CC) in a Majikoi Miyako situation and one of the fans finally decides to do something after months of frothing at the mouth.

Jees closing chapter is 60000 lines by itself?

I'm a little bit into it and it's hard to imagine with the pacing...are the heroine routes like grisaia or rewrite route length or something?

And yeah you're better off hoping for a second season than for the translation to finish. That thing has gone essentially nowhere.

For anyone playing the VN I strongly recommend reading all three side-routes in CC first before going into Setsuna route, and ultimately move onto the final part.

Yeah I'm reading the side routes atm. They feel like unnecessary extra's but I like the 3 characters so I'm totally fine with it. Plus they are all super moe, impossible to resist.

I see it more realistically as in "there are more options in life". The other routes shows different desicions of Haruki and ways to cope with his "dilemma"

I personally went setsuna's route straightaway but I heard that the other three routes will allow you to understand setsuna better.

Edit: Completely changed my mind about the side routes.

I'm still trying. I'm curious as to the method you used as I've been trying for a lot longer than 3 years and am still struggling.

5-10 years at the rate he's going.

I wonder if some hardcore fans from the show will just start their own translation though (as that's usually how it goes).

Why don't translators try kickstarters? I'm sure the community would fund them.

Because it's fucking illegal unless you're saying they should use kickstarter to try and get a licensing deal with a visual novel company in Japan to officially localize their product.

And before you say "but they are just translating it!" - that is illegal. That entire script is owned by the publisher/writer/whoever has the rights to it. It is not public domain. Distributing even just a patch is against the law for that reason, as well as because it's modifying someone else's property (translating it!) without permission.

And I don't believe you can start a kickstarter "to try and get the rights to try and do this thing" - because that's not a real thing as you'd have no proof you could. What would happen if you got funded yet turned down by the rights holders? Then you just made a good amount of cash and everyone who backed you got scammed.

You can always try donating to them directly (as stated by Tallon, kickstarters won't work). I donate to the Highschool DxD light novel translator all the time, and he's fast and consistent with his work. Money is a big motivator for translators.

Is this true? Honestly I'm very interested in all of the heroines personality, but I'm just way too curious about what would happen in coda so i straight rushed to Setsuna's. (Haven't clear yet though atm)
Also somehow i feel like Chiaki's got some relation to Setsuna's. This girl hide so much things :s. Just a feeling though since I havn't touched her route.

If you skip the 3 side heroines you won't understand either Haruki or Setsuna very well. They are pretty much required to play to get the full story. Yes I know it's lame, but that's how the VN is setup.

Though yeah if you just care about the core plot, then you can skip them. It's not a huge deal really. Also if you only care about Kazusa then yeah, skip them.
