| It's somewhat unlikely given that there's only one (major) arc which was about two matches(?), left to animate, and given the huge time gap since it aired (17 years now). I suppose there is the vague possibility of a reboot like the 2011 HxH, but only if Inoue ever decides to continue the manga. I believe Inoue mentioned that he would only think of continuing Slam Dunk if a good idea came to him, but given that he has a lot on his plate right now (two ongoing manga, one's even about Basketball as well); it's unlikely that Slam Dunk will be coming back anytime soon. Don't hold your breath, but consider picking up the manga; it really does give you that closure. |
| Just like what happened to Sailor Moon where they created a new series for its anniversary. I really really hope they'll air Slam Dunk again. I don't care if they'll create a brand new one (like new art and stuffs), as long as it's as good as the first one. |

| There will riots in Asia should they even mention anything remotely close to continuing from where the Anime stops. Anime adaptation for National Championship. There are people waiting for close to 15 years for that to happen. |
