According to the official Twitter, a short anime named "Sekaiichi Hatsukoi Valentine Special" will be shown along with the anime movie "Sekaiichi Hatsukoi: Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai", scheduled for theater release in 2014. It will be a new story written by Nakamura Shungiku, the writer for the manga and the light novel. No other information about the short anime is currently available yet.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi: Valentine-hen on MAL

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Is this anime always been this popular?
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Well... I AM fujoshi and I don't understand WHY Junjou and Sekaiichi are SO popular. Though I'm not a big fan of those series as a whole I realy want to see 'Yokozawa no Baai' so I'm happy for this movie.

I've always liked Nakamura Shungiku's work but I have way lots of other animes I'd want to see animated.

Why is this Nakamura's work so popular? I really don't get it. All her work is so extremely average to downright terrible. I can count at least five other BL works that deserves an anime adaption compared to this

I know your feels. I use to like JR, but now it's being dragged on for so long, and it isn't as realistic as Sekai-ichi. But still, I don't even like Sekai-ichi as much anymore. I want to see other works get adaptions. Like the Otokogokoro series. Those are good and have much more beautiful art. Like someone said before, I think she is whoring herself out for these adaptions.

Agreed. Why?

Hell, and don't they realize they could make money with other BL series too? >>

I definitely think other BL series' deserve a chance to be animated but because it's not (due to the fact not enough companies are willing to take the risk) it results in JR and Sekaiichi Hatsuko being really popular, just because their easy to get hold of. In saying all that, I'll probably still watch this because, once again, its easy to get hold of :')
watching anime was only meant to be hobby... I says whilst I neglect my studies and post on forums

I missed that bit of details in my original post. Have now updated it.

Oh. So the movie isn't actually being based off the novel? Sort of a shame, but at the same time, gets you more excited for new untold content.
