I saw no one had this topic up yet, so I decided to post it. :)

It's hard for me to answer my own question. XD I think the only arc I didn't cry on was Makoto's and that was because I found her story to be just plain sad, and not in the 'I want to cry' way. But anyway, who cares what I think? XD What is your guys favorite and least favorite arc and why?

my favorite arc was definitely Mai's arc. It was the most interesting.

my least favorite was Makoto's. She was an incredibly annoying character so I was totally fine with what happened to her :P

Yeah, Mai's arc was definitely one of the highlights of the Kanon. I didn't find Makoto annoying, but I wasn't exactly sad when she left.

I would say I love Makoto's arc the most as a whole.

But if I'll only consider pure plot-wise, I'll go with Ayu. I can't deny she has the best arc. Of course she's the main of the main.

Bullshit, she was annoying at first but she didn't deserve her fate.

Makoto had the saddest (and is my favourite) arc. I totally bawled my eyes out on that one. =/

Ayu, despite having the most epic arc sprawling over the entire series, was sorta... predictable. You just knew she was going to get better.

LOL Ironically, Makoto's arc was the only one I cried. XD True, she came off a bit annoying at the beginning, but she grew on me.

IMO, Nayuki deserved more time with her arc. :|

Well I cried during Makoto's, Mai's, and Ayu's. So between them, I think I enjoyed Makoto's the most.

I loved Ayu's arc though I cried when she disappeared. Made me feel so much better with how it turned out. I love Ayu =)

However it's reassuring to see how many other people cried when Makoto "died" though, I dont fee quite so iffeminate now lol.

Hard to choose between Ayu and Makoto

And as for the Nayuki arc, the visual novel had one, but it was mostly left out of the anime.

Kinda impossible to separate Nayuki and Ayu considering they are literally rivals and even in the game the backstory between Nayuki and Ayu overlaps because the most important parts of their backstory happens during the same period.

Indeed. I read the VN before watching the anime, and I really couldn't imagine how they'd e able to successfully adapt it into an anime. It exceeded my expectations, but some things (like this) were problematic.

It is pretty stupid to discuss any girls arc.i don't think there were any episode that was not interesting or any arc that was not entertaining.i can't give an answer even if i watch this 20 times.every girl was perfect.
I think Nayuki was the best character
but Makoto's arc was the most emotional.
and most beautiful was shiori's arc.
most funny character was Mai.
and last but not lest Ayu was the most annoying character.but she was too innocent.

The anime at least gave you a tease by showing you what's presumed to be Makoto in the last few episodes and then a fox spirit in the forest (which again we are supposed to believe has a relation to Makoto). The VN just ended more or less abruptly after

Yeah, pretty much just that.

I really enjoyed the Mai arc just because it offered the most action! Plus that scene where Sayuri got butchered in the bathroom caught me off guard so badly! lol.

Makoto's Arc. It's Too Heart-Wrenching That I Almost Cried.

Can Someone Tell Me About Nayuki's Arc Since Her Arc In The Anime Seems It's Lacking Something Which I Can Hardly Understand The Resolution Of Her Story.

It's a long story, you should play the Visual Novel if you are interested.

The resolution to her story pretty much happenned off-screen in the anime. Basically if I remember correctly...

So basically yeah, her arc sort of remained hazy because it involves him choosing Nayuki over Ayu. The original Kanon instead did a kind of anime-original scenario where Yuuichi point blank rejects Nayuki's feelings.

They actually cut it close with the Shiori scenario, he was for all intents and purposes Shiori's boyfriend by that stage, they only changed some scenes to kinda don't make Yuuichi look bad. And let's not mention the fact he actually married Makoto, which basically means he lied to her out of pity (instead of how it was in the actual VN path for Makoto where he did had feelings for her).

She gets out from her depression because Yuuichi's confession or she's finally recovered?

So, technically, just like in Clannad where Tomoya chooses Nagisa over Kyou.

I really hate KyoAni when they did that without giving the other a clear resolution.

I really like to but the designs in the VN is preventing me from playing it. I don't really play VNs with poor designs.

1)She's still depressed after the confession, it's more like she slowly notices Yuuichi's efforts and forgives him for abandoning her and never coming back back when they were kids.

2) KyoANi never truly went into the Kyou arc at all actually (even the scene with Kyou on the shed is actually from Yukine's arc, as strange as that sounds). The Kyou arc's first half was well represented though with Ryou trying hard to gather her courage and confess, but the meat of Kyou's arc is basically what the Kyou OVA episode showed (although it skimmed all the dates).

3)I have to agree, the artist for Kanon isn't my favorite one. It's actually why I kinda like the fact JC STAFF redesigned them a little to give them all a similar style. I only liked NA-GA's LB designs.

Yeah I know. What I'm saying is KyoAni didn't make Kyou's resolution and Kyou's happiness to be clear so Tomoya will reasonably get an orb of light from her.

Just like Nayuki's resolution, they just jump over and didn't much clear things.

That's kind of why I hoped they would find a different way of going around it. KyoAni even took out Kappei's route which is basically Ryou's orb of happiness.

I would say the one with the sick chick and her sister. They were the two best chicks in the anime.

Its a shame that the sister of the sick chick was not a heroine because she was the best chick in the anime since she was pretty much the only one in the anime that didnt have a one-dimensional personality or felt cliche.
