Ah-hah! Look! People wanted Tomoko to suck it up and do something about her uneventful and depressing life and look what happens you monsters!! Okay... Joking aside this just goes to prove my point. You can't help but feel sorry for Tomoko. Just way too hard not to...

And that has got be the most smooth transitioning into the opening theme ever.

The dreaded seat change, you always know your going to end up next to someone you hate or don't talk to >:(.And a new lunch hideout, that was eventually token away from Tomoko.

Tomoko's delusions about the club activities were so depressing cause we know she'd never experience of it.

And her club got rejected.

Cultural Festival next episode.

Holy crap this episode was so depressing. It felt so much more realistic and less cringe but just more sadness. I can't say if I like it or not it was just a unexpected change of pace. That transition into the OP was amazing. I loved that.

Uh, she had a perfectly easy chance to make friends. As usual, others are nice and sociable with her and she runs away from them while thinking shitty things about them and villainizing them. She's still just as bad of a person as ever.

Rejected club? No shit, it was a bullshit club with no goal - the school has to fund official clubs, you can't waste money on something like that.

Her classmates tried to befriend her and still don't oust her at all - they never have been remotely mean to her even in the manga. She does it to herself and her horrible attitude and way of thinking about everyone around her (even those being super nice to her) just makes it worse and harder to feel sorry for her.

Essentially, it goes back to the title which I brought up even before the anime was planned. She's kind of a shitty person and blames everyone else for her own shortcomings and fuckups.

Not to say I don't like her or her role as a protagonist, but I can't agree that it's impossible to not feel sorry for her.

The transition from her screaming to the OP was probably the funniest part of this overall depressing anime, by far. Those little extras let the manga-anime adaption look pretty good in my eyes.

I agree, though my pity for Tomoko has a limit due to her overall shitty attitude towards...well, almost everything. o_O

One of the better episodes for me. None of those scenes that make me cringe.

I do feel sorry for Tomoko, but like other people have said, it's rather limited. Her classmates are fairly nice... and I have to agree with TallonKarrde23. She does it to herself, yet she blames everyone else...

She is always trying to be popular and amazing, but I think she needs to find people she shares hobbies/interests with instead. And I think that shines through in the club that she wanted to make. I would love if Tomoko finally realizes that in the end.

So this is almost over huh..at first i thought this was going some where and it was pretty funny at the start then it slowly with each episode became slow and depressing to watch to the point where the only thing making me laugh are Tomoko's expressions.

after this episode seems like they really are just pushing Tomoko to be a loner for good

and even though i really wanna feel bad for her at the same time i can't
like look at those 4 classmates which seem stereotypical cool kids but they aren't they're just nice people lol hell everyone in this show is nice besides Tomoko she just talks bad about them and runs away like a *Jerk*.

who knows maybe she actually changes a bit in the manga since i think it's ongoing

aaaaaand in this episode we learn that the sos brigade will never exist.
i thought it was great that tomoko ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING towards her dream of being happier/more social in school.
her thinking was just a bit.... delusional.

Well, Tomoko still isolated even though the seats were switched. Those illusions of hers, I was pretty amazed until it was just her imagination.

Pretty sad that her club was vagued, let see how the cultural festival would look like.

For a second I thought that the anime was going to end during Tomoko's imaginary club scene. The expressions were priceless as always.

I was also quite surprised by the splendid transition into the opening song. It's amusing how her outrage allowed such a linear connection to sparkle.

I still don't agree with the notion that Tomoko is a bad person for bringing all that misfortune upon herself or thinking bad of others, even though they're pretty much all nice to her. This is the nature of Tomoko's disorder: as much as she wants to change, she can't, because the fear of people rejecting her if she does reach out to them is crippling her. And she thinks low of others, because it will make her look better than the rest in her mind. This is all that stands between her and total insanity.

The only way I see things getting better for Tomoko is for someone to step up and interact with her. And not just once, like the guy sitting next to her, but several times. There has to be someone who understands that Tomoko is (at the very least) very, very shy, given that she barely talks to anyone. So, if they are genuinely interested in her, it has to come from their side first and foremost, as Tomoko will pretty much never act on her own.

Yeah, definitely a parody of that winter episode. Even the 'camera angle' in the corner of the room, while they sat around doing nothing.

MorningGlory, thank you for sharing that information.

The 2013 roster for that Japanese baseball team is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiba_Lotte_Marines

The new classroom seating plan for the second term is shown at 00:56. I was
able to identify some of the people sitting around Tomoko, but not all of them:

F. Ikuhiro Kiyota (清田 育宏) outfielder
FL Yoshifumi Okada (岡田 幸文) rookie
FR Shunichi Nemoto (根元 俊一) infielder
L. Daichi Suzuki (鈴木 大地) infielder
R. could not find
BL could not find
BR Shoitsu Ohmatsu (大松 尚逸) infielder
B. could not find

F = front, L = left, R = right, B = behind

It is very interesting to learn about this. My impression is that Watamote does
not have many hidden jokes. It is usually very straightforward.
