| This was the funniest episode of WataMote , especially the vacuum cleaner and when Tomoko played that card game vs. that kid. She really messed up, she just wanted her little cousin to look up to her because not many people do. |

| This was the hardest episode to watch for me. Seeing Tomoko ruin one of the few genuine relationships she has with someone who looks up to her hurt so bad. I hope she learns that once you start lying it only splits into more and more branches until it becomes clear what you've said isn't true. Kii genuinely likes and looked up to Tomoko, and she saw her at her worst, where she would even cheat to beat young kids and look cool. It could have ended worse, but to have your little cousin pity you isn't a goal to strive for. When umbrella boy introduced himself to Tomoko I got really excited, I understood it could go well or awful, probably the latter, and it got so bad. As soon as she gets anything going her way she sucks herself purely into her own head and stretches her encounters out to an unrealistic fantasy or nightmare, literally deafening herself from what other people say, and ultimately ruining them. She can't look outside of herself and be in the present! This episode had two people throw themselves to her out of kindness and she messed up both relationships because of her inability to see people for what they are. :( The brief relief you feel when umbrella boy tells Kii that he doesn't know a Tomoko only to shatter it moments later was so unfair. I paused so much that I had to make a rule that I won't pause anymore when I watch this anime, it's the cowards way out. Tomoko playing with kids was cute and she was even cool to some degree until she showed that she cheats to win, probably to feel cooler than the kids, and to also get admiration from people who she can feel superior too, just like how she picks on the library kids for firework dates, or goes to the book store to feel superior there. What a sad character. I think I laughed really hard at one point in this episode but my anguish has dissolved any bit of happiness I got from it. I long for the day, whether it's in the anime or the manga, where Tomoko has a healthy conversation with someone and doesn't retreat into her own mind. Her family doesn't count of course. |

| Tomoko playing her cards badly is nothing new. This time she missed the opportunity to befriend a genuinely nice guy and lost the respect of her younger cousin, brutal. I already thought trying to impress a kid by posing as slutty girl was low, but boy, it got way worse xD |

| This was the worst episode in terms of the social situations. Your lies will catch up to you, fella! I can understand Tomoko wanting someone to look up to her and think she's cool and not a lameo, but even then she'll go through some off the wall stuff to try to hold up to an image that isn't there |
| This hurts! I realize that the need to be popular (or at least acknowledged) is strong but why the lies? Those never work out in the end. She sound really cute when she tries to talk to other people though. |
