| Great episode. Tomoko really messed up on that cappuccino lol. And on top of that she took pictures of herself and put them in her brother's room everywhere haha. I'm really liking this anime, it's great! |

| Tomoko is an example of why we shouldn't use anime as our guidelines for life. It's sad how even the emotionless archetype in the anime she was watching is, in the end, liked for being herself, not an archetype. Maybe that's the lesson she could learn. The scene where she was trying to be emotionless and responded to Tomoki asking about his sports drink so was the funniest scene yet for me, mostly because it was wholesome fun between brother and sister, not something putrid. In general Tomoko's scenes with Tomoki are the nicest part of Watamote. Tomoko listens to the people who she hates out of envy, to get tips on being like them. The format of Tomoko listening to or getting an idea to be popular, going out and making a fool of herself, and ending with some nice moment like her changing Tomoki's towel, or her dad helping her go to bed, or the mom phone call aren't horrible but they're getting stale. If this pattern is what it keeps up for every episode that may be a problem since I'm somewhat bored of it before the half way point. Again, I don't think Tomoko is a bad person, but her self centered perspective on life gets her to miss out on the nice people around her and act pretty heinous, like by getting Tomoki a drink on condition that he goes out with her. |

| I'm pretty sure the quiet, expressionless type is already kind of there for Tomoko. Also, I don't think Tomoko is ready to go to a city full of adults just yet. I'm surprised she managed to go there by herself without anyone questioning her of why she was going there in the first place. |
| Ngl, I too relate to Tomoko, there was actually a point when I did try to act like the quiet types while at school. Safe to say, it did make me, an introvert, actually surprised on how easy it was. But yeah, just like what Tomoko understood, popular quiet types succeed because they "have people around them talking for them", almost like a social aspect for them to express and let them open up... which they eventually do to suddenly not be a quiet type because people eventually change and not just stay the same. Jeez, that coffee size she ordered was bigger than her hands. xD That sticker moment was funny tho xd And I like the fact that Tomoko keeps imagining herself in the Yamcha pose. |
