According to the official website of Little Busters!, voice actress Kawaragi Shiho will return to the cast as the voice of Nishizono Mio in the sequel Little Busters!: Refrain, which will air beginning October 2013. Kawaragi was previously replaced by Tatsumi Yuiko in the first series in consideration of her pregnancy. She gave birth to a baby girl on December 7, 2012.

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I prefer Tatsumi Yuiko, but I'm sure that news will rejoice the other fans.

I haven't heard either seiyuu's portrayal yet, so I'm not sure whether or not this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Now you've made me excited for LB: Refrain all over again, bastard. '-'

I'm not familiar with her works expect maybe in School Days and Princess Resurrection. I'll look forward to her in Refrain I guess.

I'm fine with both of them, though I'm happy that it's gonna be just a bit more like the original.

Wouldn't have minded her on the BD for the first season since that's where her arc was, I don't expect more than one or two sentences in Refrain from her.

That's awesome news, although Mio's arc was in first season already :/ Time to go back and play through Mio's route again to celebrate?

It's nice to have the original voice of Mio back, but I'd say Tatsumi Yuiko deserves some credit. Having played through the original visual novel (or rather, the EX version), she did an admirable job of replacing Kawaragi Shiho IMO. Their voices are kind of similar, so I barely even noticed the difference lol. I had some doubts when the news of replacement originally came out, but I'm glad she proved me wrong.

Lol wuuut, actually that is a pretty stupid idea imo, never really liked original Mio's voice, her anime seiyuu was so much better... And it's not like she will have that much attention in the Refrain (<3) anyway, so why not just leave her :/

sweet, at least she'll get a few lines in xD.
As long as they follow the source material, I'll be happy.

Tatsumi did an excellent job as a replacement, but I'm glad the original is back (even if it's only for a few scenes). Still hyped for Refrain!

exactly why this bothers me. she will only have a couple of lines and yet they go out of their way to get Kawaragi back.. even though Yuiko Tatsumi's voice is more fitting ._.

Kawaragi should stick to more mature characters

Honestly, I was fine with Tatsumi voice acting Mio in the first season, but to see Kawaragi come back gives me so much nostalgia for Refrain, that and they said they'll follow the story with no modifications, I'm hyped. (I wonder if they are going to change some of the staff as well, that would be excellent).

K bro.

I still have to play the VN to judge if this is good or bad, but judging from the comments so far, it's a good thing.

For the record, though, I liked Mio's voice in the anime.

The first season won't blow you away, as it is simply meant as a buildup for Refrain. So please do not expect some tearjerk fest or anything like that (since apparently, a lot of people were).

Refrain is where the true magic of the series lies.

Good news for the fans I guess.
I actually don't mind either way. But I think it would've been better if they stayed consistent...

I think they are doing it mainly for the fans who've played the VN., for nostalgic reasons and I think it is a good idea, but credits to Tatsumi Yuiko for doing a great job.

Actually, after I heard this news, I found it really hilarious because she doesn't have much more role left. Given the arcs for the 2nd season(Kurugaya, Rin, Refrain), Mio doesn't have that much screentime.

I only heard Tatsumi Yuiko for only a few times and I think she's fine as Mio's seiyuu but for me it's much better if it's Kawaragi Shiho...So it's good that she's back...

even if she only has little role left, i guess it's still better than not having her original voice back

Well, Mio becomes a super duper, or in Rin's words, duper duper side character in Refrain so I think it doesn't matter.
