| It pains me to see this D: I just feel so bad for her. It was so cute how the guys brought her an umbrella though :{ if only she wasn't so awkward around them, talking about her big messy poo. I was cowering my face in embarrassment for her. I really hope this anime turns around soon. If the whole thing is just one big awkward story I don't know how long I can stand to watch it! So hopefully something happens soon. I laughed a lot when she just threw the towel onto her brother's face. I really like her brother, though. He's my favorite character so far. |

| Lol at all the references. This was probably the saddest episode so far but still pretty funny. The parts where she was crying made me want to reach into the screen and just hug her :'(. The PE scene and the part where the boys were trying to talk to her was very relatable. People without bad social anxiety just don't understand how hard it can be to hold a normal conversation with someone you don't know. You know you want to say something but just can't get it to come out right, it's like you're mouths sewn shut or something. |
| This anime is SO priceless. Dat Ghost in the Shell reference. Also, a felt a few stabs at Oreimo somewhere in this. The ending was too classy, haha. |

We will have to keep watching in order to be sure about Watamote. One common genre of anime is where you have some originally-lonely people who get together and form a random school club. The result is that these people become very close and happy. Perhaps Haruhi is the most famous example. More recently we saw Yuru Yuri, Yuyushiki and Kitakubu. Keep in mind that Haruhi Suzimiya suffered from "melancholia", in other words, clinical depression. Her mental health greatly improved with the help of Kyon, Nagato, Mikuru and Itsuki. If Tomoko could grab the guy sitting in front of her in class and form an "SOS Brigade" it would be great. |
