| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| Opening song was awesome. We have a strong candidate for the best anime this season here. Tomoko is hilarious and her VA has done a great job. How can she be so cute!! She is so adorable. All she needs to do is get rid of those dark circles and baam, she can be popular. She would look with Hikigaya or Keima. Crossover pairings xD "Gaagle" xD The brother reminds me of the main guy from Blood Lad xD I already like him since Nakamura Yuuichi is voicing him! Dat imagination ! I salute it xD "I am coming soon" xD I really hate that guy who called her super ugly. Get your eyes checked. Also, you can't say that to anyone! Awesome ending song! 9/10 |

| I must say I think it's good adaptation - everytime mc opened her mouth it reminded me why I disliked her in the manga. So this and her delusions are done very well. Music was ok, visuals nothing special but also fine. so in the end: dropped - I don't have mood for such depressing stuff right now, but if I will have this might be great series to fill it :) |

| An improvement over the manga. Love Tomoko's VA and the visual ideas were neat. Plus that OP. If anything I worry about the pacing or that it, despite the ideas, will feel to lacklustre as it goes on due to its length. Can't shake off the feeling a Muromi-san length (aka 12 minutes) would work better. |

| Great ending and the seiyuus are doing a great job. Pretty funny, though the references are pretty much like every other show of this kind, it's getting a bit repetitive. The scene where she was ordering at McDonald's hit a bit too close to home. 4/5, but I feel I'll get tired of this quickly. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. | "Unpopular Girl Magazine" February 2010 issue  This whole concept of the "unpopular girl" or "mojo" is a huge phenomenon in Japan. In the anime, we see the term 喪女 (mojo). Some common variants are もてない女 (motenai onna) and モテない女 (motenai onna). | Definitely didn't expect to enjoy this show so much, and considering how bland the rest of the Summer Season has been so far, this is probably going to be my favorite show. |

| Oh man.. been a long time I really laughed out loud watching anime. It's funny at the same time feel bad for her. I mean she can't even buy things from convenience shop normally. Didn't expect that OP too. It's really awesome even though it doesn't suit this genre. I think the OP (and the OP's animation) suit survival type anime/manga more. |

| I was waiting for the moment she pulled out a potato chip.... and ate it. Well said! I can see a lot of commonality with Konata Izumi in Lucky Star. However, Konata didn't have any self-esteem problems. The brother-sister relationship reminds me of OreImo, but without the bizarre and physically-abusive features. No hints of incest either. All-in-all, I really enjoy the realism of this show. But I can imagine that a lot of people would not enjoy it unless they are in the right mood. It is quite dark. I have noticed a trend towards "anime noire" (anime with dark themes). Recently, we saw Aku no Hana which was also very dark yet completely realistic. Another really good anime was NHK, but the MC was a college-aged male. I don't know why, but I loved the McDonalds scene. They do taste good. |

My stupid question: What is a "hentaigana" ? As for being sad, I found absolutely no indication that these people are said. They are unpopular. But a person can be unpopular without being unhappy. Yes, they use the character for "mourning", but my speculation is that it is based on a pun that the character for "mourning" has a sound related to the word "unpopular". So these unpopular girls are making a joke about themselves. Girls who are self-confident might not be desperate to find boyfriends or to make the compromises necessary to become part of a friend clique. Sad girls (people with chronic depression and low self-esteem) might on the other hand be desperate to get a boyfriend. |
| I like her lingering optimism, although the plan for reinventing herself passes through going back to the middle school level - 6 times talking to a classmate (who randomly interacted with her), which she considers "normal" and believes she took part in. I mean, it's not funny how frustrated she feels, but she is quite a character the way she is. |
| The death note parody was unexpected. Also, love dat OP. And points for the end. I knew what was going to happen and I still cried. This show and AoT are the only shows I'm interested in this year. |

| The opening and ending were good (can't beat a bit of thrash metal! lol). I think if she finds that one friend she will be fine, as for finding a boyfriend..... well one step at a time I think! I found the humour hard to laugh at because she is so very much alone. Hate the attitude of the brother already. Hopefully he will improve. |

| Insane OP, didn't expect that from this series. I remember the manga being funnier but this adaptation made me cringe at Kuroki's suffering more than anything. I guess the VA's stuttering was a lot more pronounced than I imagined. Nice Death Note parody. Very niche art style with the geometric lighting and there was loads of lens flares. Visually, it's managed to become memorable compared to the rest of the shows this season. ED was pretty cool with the mobile phones. |

| Hi MorningGlory, Thank you for the explanation. Yes, that makes sense. It looks really ugly visually to mix kana with kanji. And it is also a cute joke to use the kanji that they did. If you look very, very closely at the opening scene where they show her computer screen, you can actually see a part where they explain this very issue. The use of that kanji is actually based on its sound and not on its literal meaning. |

| Very good start and extremely funny episode. I've never heard of Kitta Izumi but she's doing a pretty good job as Tomoko's voice actor. I hope the hilariousness stays at a high level for the rest of the series. |

| It was much better than I was expecting. Love Tomoko's brother's VA who also voices Tomoya Okazaki, Oreki Houtarou, and Gray Fullbuster. Tomoko's VA is also pretty amazing for being able to do that extremely shy and quiet voice. Weird but good OP and normal ED. |
