| Not a bad episode but it took so long to explain how he won that it almost felt like a recap of the match. Also, the narrator "spoils" the story yet again ;_; |

| One of the strongest episodes in anime, and certainly the best Akagi episode thus far. I didn't fully catch everything, and still have only picked up "Hon" or about Half of the complexities of Mahjong including the terminonogies (with the aid of multiple wiki pages open after an hour + research), but even still it was great. Akagi is such a demon. Love him. Perfect complement to Kaiji. |
| Against all odds, the one tile Akagi left on the table happened to match perfectly with Urabe's last tile, making it the deciding move in that really high-stakes game. It's very intimidating to see him completely read his opponent's psychological state through every single gesture he did during the game. Now the guy's hands are crushed and he has millions in debt but it's either him or Akagi and no one wanted that to happen anyway. He's on a streak so it won't be a surprise if he keeps betting higher and higher in riskier backgrounds. |

| I actually liked Urabe, but knew he'd lose. Akagi was crazy at the end, loved it. I think I know who's coming up next (didn't watch the preview, though, of course)! |

| This series is fucking insane! I don't know shit about mahjong yet I'm liking it more than Kaiji (not accounting for recency bias ofc) Actually lol'd during the moment when Akagi's 2pin was revealed and Urabe's face got blurry and was twisted for like half a sec lollll |
