| Fake Akagi is kinda hot! I guess there will be a battle between the two Akagi's which will result in the fake one getting beaten like he stole something. Well, he did steal something...Akagi's identity. Then Akagi is going to play those thugs at his job and take all their money and send them home with nothing but their underwear. Can't wait to see it!! |

| Nice episode, that. I'm trying to work out how Akagi could have known it would be 3shanten. The only thing I could think of is that he might have seen the tiles as/before they were turned over at the start. He's too far away to have cheated. And as far as I know there's no way to tell how many shanten a set of 13 tiles will be taken from a group of more than 14 tiles, so he can't have deducted it from which tiles had already gone. |

Everyone has seen all but the last hand of tiles, so you can determine which tiles are remaining because they are the only ones missing from the set. |

| Hooooly... SH*T!! That was one sick episode. I've seen Kaiji and One Outs before watching this but this was incredible. Only one or two scenes were at the same level with this, at most. Damn, I couldn't shut my mouth for 60 seconds! |

| Ya ... no, new akagi doesn't have same kind of intensity, additionally there is no way that the real akagi will let others make him find the right hands. The above comments also spoiled it for me /shrug |

| I totally didn't buy the Akagi 6 years later bit at the beginning because he looked rather ridiculous when compared to his style from long ago. The Akagi who disappeared into obscurity for the past 6 years wouldn't wear something that flashy even for the occasion especially for the Yakuza of all people. Glad to see the guy with the Devil's luck is the same as he always was. One of the background guards got a new mustache and is apparently the only witness left to Akagi and Ichikawa's battle. If that means that the others who attended at that night died within the last 6 years aside from the recurring characters who appeared, that's pretty sad but I guess it was expected since they're yakuza and all. Looks like Akagi's gonna have a battle of wits in the underground Mahjong abyss with the Akagi Clone with an impressive memory real soon. But looks like he's gonna help the kiddy-faced guy from getting his money hustled for 3 months in a row first. |

| having already spoiled myself previously, i knew that he was the fake akagi. there's no way he'd dress up like a pimp or gang boss. it's very interesting that akagi works at a toy factory; i don't know why it's pleasing. this hidden god amongst lowly mortals barely earning enough to eat, putting together a child's cymbal clapping monkey for a paltry sum when he could be clapping underworld crooks in mahjong... |
