very weird but interesting last episode. I really enjoyed this series a lot. both the first season and the 2nd. It was very unique. I'm giving it a 7.5/10. It's the best anime I've watched in a long time

Going into philosophic aspect of the anime is awesome, anyway we finally know what Maisairaku is, the poor guy must be lonely to live that long uh which make me understood even more the end of the second season.

That was info heavy haha.

8/10 for this series. I enjoyed it especially the first half.

So, the final episode was a discussion on the passage of time, its different interpretations, and its implications. There was even parts that talked about existentialism. I didn't expect such a passive, solemn ending for a show like this, but it's still a nice one. We even got some real life cuts to address the viewer directly.

Otogizoushi is certainly something else. Honestly, I disliked the change to modern day, but I still recognize the show's attempt to use reincarnation to extend its story. That being said, Mansairaku had already lived 200 years at the beginning of the show and continued living until modern times, but I hoped to see more of his world view. For such an important character, it wasn't until this episode where we got some of that, but at least there was something.

I thought is was an amazing 1st half, and a very weak second half. It's the tale of 2 shows really.

5/10 for me.

My 123rd completed series chronologically.

For the record, I extended it a 7/10 rating.

Thank god its over. The second half felt like it would never end.

This was pretty bad. The first half was decent but the second half was just a boring mess that dragged on and on and on.

Great way to end a series and a very nicely done episode, heavily reminded me of some scenes from Patlabor 2, actually (where Nishikubo Mizuho also worked)
