| The artwork is still quite odd, but the story is so good that I'm getting past that. Everyone actually looks OK until they're shown from the side. Their profiles are just...wrong. The fact that Akagi is SO fearless for his age is just frightening. I'd love to get a backstory on him. |

| I can't get it in episode of Akagi's cheating. 1) How could he be so reckless not to understand that a blind man with perfect ear will notice this cheating by sound? 2) But the oldman didn't even notice. NANI? |

| Nangou dug himself a pit and Akagi just drilled straight down into hell to look for Lady Luck with that daring sleight of hand as a first move. Ichikawa let him win several rounds to make him feel more confident with his flashy playing style then made Akagi realize that his plainer playing style ended up giving him more points than him despite winning roughly the same number of rounds as his opponent. He's slowly getting pushed at a corner but there's nothing more dangerous than a cornered man who believes that he has nothing to lose~ |
