| Yeah, I read up on Mahjong before watching this and it's really hard to understand. I don't know how Akagi picked it up so quick, lol. Anyway, I watched this because I really got into Kaiji and I loved the first 2 eps of this show. I liked the differences in Akagi's and Kaiji's character. They are very different people. |

Yagi might be more of a challenge than Ryuzaki but the psychological tactics he was trying to pull will definitely cost him a finger...or four. |

| Yeah, I enjoyed the episode a lot more than I thought I would! I've watched Kaiji and it's made it on my favorites list, so I decided to give this one a go. I know the basics of mahjong, but I don't have the winning hands or points memorized. There's a few translators notes in my subtitles for the terminology so it's really helpful. I totally understand that it's not babying the watcher into the rules of the game, though. Especially because of how complicated mahjong is. |

| Twas a great episode. With many games its always a psychological battle, seeing a player like akagi is kinda refreshing since he doesn't seem like he is on a high horse. |

| it's the first time that i let the ending credits roll out and immediately i recognized "maximum the hormone". what a awesome ending for a awesome anime. even though yasuoka seemed set on nabbing akagi, he is getting quite into his mahjong plays. i am under the impression that he is probably not as concerned about his crimes as he is about akagi's genius... |
