you really have to wonder what kind of life Kasumi has been living up to this point after that dice game ;)

i absolutely loved Mugen's excuse for coming back XD

was a bit disappointed in last battle, that two ppl run past each other and one dies a little bit later thing has been done to death, but i guess they didn't really have time for something more drawn out without sacrificing actual plot.

Indeed, Mugen coming back was hilarious.

I agree that I expected more from that last fight since they haven't resorted to such cliched crap so far. Ah well, it was still quite an enjoyable 2 episodes, even if it probably counts as "filler".

In my opinion in the last fight, the yakuza guy wasn't planing to put up a fight against mugen. He just wanted to die, so it all makes sense to me if it was just a short fight.
Mugen's come back was pure win.

Haha wow, Fuu really got into the role of the shaker. She's actually pretty good at adapting to the circumstances and situations she's thrown into...

Mugen coming back was great. Loved it. And I wasn't really disappointed with the thing at the end either. It may be cliched but it just seemed so typical samurai, and as others have said, Ishimatsu (I think that's what his name was?) just wanted to die, it seemed. A [very] short battle sufficed for me, and maybe the time constraint per episode made the directors cut it short...? Whatever. Worked for me. Loved the episode. :)

I too was really impressed with Fuu, she was great in that situation.

I think the main battle scene wasn't too bad, and Mugen coming back like that was great. It was good to see the last fight go down like that, as he said he didn't want to live a lowlife, and gave me the impression he wanted to die.

Wow, Fuu did really well as a dealer. I wish that I could so freely adapt myself to any situation...

Superb finish to the previous episode!

Man, I wish I could roll dice like that, I'd psyche out my opponents in Warhammer all the time if I always rolled like that!

Mugen was hilarious, and even if the last duel was clichéd/traditional (delete as appropriate) I figured it was just to wrap things up. One of them had to die and it wasn't going to be Mugen so....go figure!

I cant stress enough how much I like the style in this anime

Fuu as a dealer... she was awesome :D
Mugen, you crazy bastard! How can anyone hate you? :D You're so honest XD
And no matter if the bad guy turned good, you will get him in the end anyway ^^; (Both Oniwaka and Nishimatsu wanted to die though).

Pretty gewd so far, but after these 4 episodes, I think I'll watch the rest of the show in Japanese with subs.
The dub is fine, but I actually prefer the way Mugen sounds in japanese for some reason.
Brings back nostalgia of a time when I was into One Piece, like 5 years ago XD.

love all three main characters, they're seriously great.

also that yakuza son was such a hotheaded brat. he fucked things up for everybody to be honest, making the situation worse until it lead to his sister in the hostel and his father dead. gg you idiot.

Yeah, the kid was really just a kid after all. He messed up big time and many people suffered because of it.

Mugen's epic comeback was epic. "You didn't send anyone after me, so I came back instead ^^". I'm glad to see he can care about other people than himself now. He's growing.

I was impressed with Fuu there as well, she really got into the role of dealer.

Jin has to admit it this time, he was glad to see Mugen. He got up and started slashing people down left and right, definitely with a smile on his face.

The last "duel", like someone mentioned already. The other guy probably went in it just to be killed, his burden was too heavy and he even commented on himself as a "villain".

Makes you wonder how Fuu was before she worked in the tea house. No way she'd know how to roll the dice like that on the spot XD

Great episode again, damn really loving this series, not surprised since Bebop is one of my favourites.

Characters so likable and lol at their fate, they eventually all meet up again, pretty well-written.

I think the ending shot should have lingered longer but otherwise a good arc. I probably will have better time with series this around.

The last time i saw this series it had too big boot's to fill in and i kinda ended up hating it. At this point i know that there's probably not going to ever a show that will surpass it so i shouldn't conmpare this to it.

Now this caught me by surprise I didn't expected this show to show that much bloodshed. The episode itself was entertaining, the moment where she comes in as the dicer and actually screws up but it still works out - funny as hell.

Fuu playing the dice dealer was lol. She's quite adaptable. I enjoyed this one much more than the last. It was nice how they showed the honor certain members of the Yakuza can have and the code they abide by. The ending was quite bittersweet...altho you know the father and Ishimatsu had done terrible things in their lives, they still had some principles.

Sousuke's dad sacrificing himself for his children was sad, though predictable.
Ishimatsu killing Rikiei and then dying is pretty brutal as well.

Rewatch Episode #4

Some of the backgrounds in this episode are godtier, especially at the end

Probably. Most of this makes complete sense in the lines of the idealised Samurai code.

You are probably right. At first I thought that he knew he would lose to Mugen, but he didn't seem to give his all, and he was quite confident a day ago. Either way, I find this way of regaining his honour more beautiful than committing a harakiri.
