| I was thinking that too actually, particularly what happened with ep 9. Well, I only really agree with the Behelith and Yomi part anyway...Maybe butterfly boy > member of God Hand? Ep 9 also kinda reminded me of Chrono Crusade. |
| I can see the similarites with Berserk, aswell as with Gungrave. All three series focus around a couple of people who have a strong friendship bond and would do anything to help each other until something or someone else interferes, with the resulting actions causing an immediate shift from strong friendship to hatred. Not to mention all three series also start with the end and then show the events leading up to what happened at the start. |

| yes it did, and I love these kinds of stories where friends become enemies etc. I think Ga Rei Zero is a bit better though personally, because it was consistently good all the way through, while Berserk had a good first half and an interesting ending but a rather poor middle section, IMO. Gungrave was good until the ridiculous third arc. I'm glad Ga Rei Zero took that formula and improved upon it :) |
| ^ I'm pretty sure he just means the situation of a friend's feelings being manipulated and beginning to hate everyone around them. Casca doesn't= Noriyuki though. He would've had to have romantic feelings for Kagura as well(Unless this happens in the manga). Overall I liked Berserk better though. |
